Mid-performance, the prop suddenly jerks downward after slipping from its wire, causing a sharp drop that nearly unseats her. Visibly startled, Perry immediately stopped singing and clutched the winged prop to regain her balance as it swayed in the air. Once the butterfly steadied and she regained her composure, she resumed the song and finished the performance strong. After the show, Perry took to social media to react to the mid-air mishap. 'Goodnight San Fran,' she wrote on her Instagram Story, alongside a screen-grab of her terrified expression during the drop. This isn't the 'Firework' hitmaker's first onstage technical issue. During a Lifetimes Tour stop in Australia in late June, a similar malfunction occurred when a flying sphere she was riding began to tilt mid-performance, forcing her to grab onto the support cables for stability, according to People. Perry isn't the only artist to deal with high-flying prop malfunctions recently. Beyoncé also experienced a scare during her Cowboy Carter show in Houston in late June. During a performance of '16 Carriages,' the 'Texas Hold 'Em' singer's suspended car stalled and tilted above the audience at NRG Stadium, causing a brief delay in the show. Perry is currently touring in support of her latest album, 143, which reached No. 6 on the Billboard 200. Her next show is scheduled for Monday (July 21) in Seattle, followed by shows in Canada, Europe and South America. The trek, which launched in late April, is set to wrap in early December. LeAnn Rimes' Teeth Fall Out Incident Mid-Concert Explained

Wondering why LeAnn Rimes suddenly ran off stage during her concert after her teeth fell out, and how she handled the unexpected moment afterward? During a recent performance in Washington, fans witnessed a surprising mishap that quickly went viral and prompted the singer to address it online. Here's what we know so far about LeAnn Rimes' onstage dental incident and her candid response after the show. LeAnn Rimes abruptly left the stage mid-performance on Friday, June 21, 2025, after her dental bridge fell out during a concert at The Skagit Casino Resort in Washington. The incident occurred while she was performing her hit song 'One Way Ticket.' 'Last night I was on stage, in the middle of 'One Way Ticket,' and I feel something pop in my mouth,' Rimes said in a video posted to Instagram the following day. 'If you've been around, you know I've had a lot of dental surgeries, and I have a bridge in the front and it fell out in the middle of my song last night.' The 42-year-old singer explained that she 'panicked' and told the crowd to 'hold on' before running offstage to pop the dental piece back in. She returned shortly after and continued the show. 'For the rest of the show, I was literally like this, pushing my teeth in, like every couple lines,' she said. Rimes also mentioned the challenge of singing 'Can't Fight the Moonlight,' noting the frequent use of 'Fs,' 'THs,' and 'SHs' in the lyrics. 'They completely fell in my mouth,' she recalled. Despite the setback, Rimes completed the concert. 'There wasn't a f*****g thing I could do about it except either walk off, or just hold my teeth in and sing, so I just ran with it,' she said. 'The show can go on, even in the midst of sheer, utter embarrassment.' She added, 'I don't usually have firsts in my career. That was a first and hopefully a last.' Rimes confirmed her dental bridge is 'in for now' and joked, 'The front row, get ready for something to fly out. If you catch them, please return them.'
