Downtown Pensacola could get another condo development as part of the East Garden District. The Tristan Residences is a new 25-unit development being proposed to go on North Jefferson Street next to the Tristan Hotel, which is currently under construction. The Thrash Group out of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, is the manager of the company that has applied to the Pensacola Architectural Review Board for approval of the new development. New downtown Pensacola development: New 25-unit, 5-story condo planned next to downtown Pensacola hotel Most of the area on 12th Avenue known as the "Tree Tunnel" will be closed to through traffic for 40 days beginning in July for a stormwater drainage improvement project. Pensacola announced that 12th Avenue, between Fairfield Drive and Barcia Drive, will be closed to through traffic for 40 days starting July 7. Cars traveling through will have to take a detour via 11th Avenue and Barcia Drive.
