Sheriff's Office: Man arrested for DWI after attempting to flee in far East El Paso
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 34-year-old man was recently arrested for drunk driving after he attempted to flee from a traffic stop in far East El Paso, according to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office (EPCSO). EPCSO said Joe Emilio Molinar, 34, was arrested on Saturday, July 26, and charged with driving while intoxicated, evading arrest or detention with a vehicle, and possession of a controlled substance with a total bond of $7,000. He was then booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility. At around 3:30 a.m. on July 26, a deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 2021 Honda Civic near Pellicano Drive and Darrington Road after observing the vehicle speeding and failing to stop at a stop sign, according to EPCSO. The Sheriff's Office said that the driver, later identified as Molinar, refused to yield and drove off at a high rate of speed through a residential area, disregarding multiple stop signs. Deputies later located the vehicle parked between two trucks in an apparent attempt to hide. Molinar, who had clear signs of intoxication, was located and taken into custody without further incident, according to EPCSO. 'Driving under the influence and running from law enforcement is reckless and dangerous. We have zero tolerance for it,'Sheriff Oscar Ugarte said. Rapper GloRilla arrested after drugs found in her metro Atlanta home during burglary
Rapper GloRilla, whose real name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods, is facing charges after a burglary occurred at her metro Atlanta home. The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that deputies were called to a home owned by Woods at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. Investigators say three suspects went into the home when Woods wasn't there and were stealing things when someone inside the home fired at them. The burglars ran off and investigators don't believe they were injured. [DOWNLOAD: Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] While investigating the burglary, some of the deputies smelled drugs and found a 'significant amount of marijuana' in the master bedroom closet. Woods was then charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance. Duplin County woman charged with cocaine possession after traffic stop
DUPLIN COUNTY, N.C. (WNCT) — A woman was arrested after her vehicle was pulled over by law enforcement with the Duplin County Sheriff's Office on Cornwallis Road Friday May 30, 2025. Desiree L. Anderson, of Teachey, was charged with: Three counts possession of a schedule II controlled substance (cocaine and crack cocaine) Felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia Misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia Anderson was jailed under a $25,000 secured bond in the Duplin County Jail. Oakland smoke shop busted for selling marijuana, flavored tobacco without license
OAKLAND, Calif. - Police shut down an Oakland smoke shop for the unlicensed sale of marijuana and tobacco products, authorities said. What we know Officers raided the shop in the 3500 block of International Boulevard last Thursday, where they confiscated marijuana and flavored tobacco products, according to the Oakland Police Department. Investigators found the business was operating without the required licenses and permits to sell cannabis or tobacco products. One man was cited for possession of a controlled substance. Authorities have not said whether he was the business owner. The case will be forwarded to the district attorney's office to determine whether to pursue criminal and civil charges. Alleged thief caught in the act thanks to police call about stolen plates

Guelph Police said, at around 3 p.m., they received a phone call about a Mercedes SUV with fake licence plates in the parking lot of a store on Woodlawn Road. Officers then spotted a man who matched the witness' description leaving the store with a full shopping cart. 'The male appeared to notice the officers and briefly returned inside the business,' police said in a media release. 'He was stopped as he walked away from the store, a short time later, pushing the cart. When asked how he paid for the items he provided a receipt from a Brampton business dated a day earlier.' Police said the man had not paid for the merchandise. During his arrest, officers found several credit cards and identification cards with various names on them. They also seized a small amount of suspected heroin. The 23-year-old has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, as well as nearly a dozen counts related to theft and fraud.
