Flies, rodents: Top Rapides Parish restaurant inspections - June 9-20

The Town Talk obtained food safety inspection information for the week of for the weeks of June 9-20, 2025, from the Louisiana Department of Health. The top addresses with the most critical violations are listed, along with an explanation of the findings. All restaurants on the list had at least two critical violations. According to the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals, uncorrected critical violations are more likely to contribute to food contamination or illness. Less serious violations are not directly related to foodborne illness but could become hazardous if uncorrected. The Louisiana Department of Health's retail food health inspections dashboard includes a history of each establishment's inspection reports. Inspections should be considered a "snapshot" and might not always reflect an establishment's day-to-day operations and overall condition. Violations fall into two main categories: critical and non-critical. Critical violations are more likely to contribute directly to food contamination or illness if left uncorrected. Non-critical violations are not directly related to the cause of foodborne illness but could become critical if left uncorrected. The DHH dashboard is updated daily; however, there is a seven-day delay between when inspections are made and posted online.
