Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson The Naked Gun has had a reboot, with Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson taking the starring roles - and they've appeared to encourage the rumours that romance blossomed on set. Neeson told People in 2024: "With Pamela, first off, I'm madly in love with her. She's just terrific to work with. I can't compliment her enough, I'll be honest with you. No huge ego. She just comes in to do the work. She's funny and so easy to work with. She's going to be terrific in the film." Meanwhile, Anderson said that her co-star "sincerely looked after me — wrapped his coat around me when I was cold." At the film's premiere, E! News asked what had surprised them the most about each other and Anderson replied while gazing at Neeson: "Just how kind and sweet and funny you are. He's very silly." Neeson has reportedly been single for 16 years following the death of his wife Natasha Richardson in a skiing accident in 2009, and Anderson divorced her fourth husband Dan Hayhurst in 2022, so their fans are excited at the prospect of them finding happiness together. The film stars went along with The Naked Gun's silliness by pretending to be caught kissing ahead of an appearance on The Today Show in the US. When asked whether they were "an item", Anderson joked: "I don't understand the question." Neeson added: "I had never met Pamela before. We met on set and we discovered we had a lovely, budding chemistry - as two actors. I thought, this is nice, let's not mould this, let's just let it breathe. And that's what we did." Pamela, 58, shares two sons with ex-husband Tommy Lee, Brandon Thomas, 28, and Dylan Jagger, 27. While Liam, 73, was left to raise his and Natasha Richardson's two young sons Micheál and Daniel - who were aged just 13 and 12 when their mother suddenly died in 2009. Liam has a close bond with his boys, and the trio are often spotted spending quality time together at hockey games. Liam and Micheàl have even worked together, as they previously played a grieving father and son in film Made in Italy. Meanwhile, Pamela often speaks about her relationship with her sons Brandon and Dylan. The actress admitted that she had to 'beg her sons for forgiveness' after being 'sexualised' during her career. Pamela was recently nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance in drama The Last Showgirl - which tells the tale of a middle-aged Las Vegas showgirl who is plunged into uncertainty when the show she has performed in for three decades announces it is closing. But as she spoke about how she related to playing the role, a working mum and showgirl, at a screening in London, she revealed the plot related to her in ways she hadn't expected. Asked about her relationship with co-star Billie Lourd, who plays her daughter, Pamela told MailOnline: 'I have two boys in this industry, and I think anytime your mother is sexualised in some way, even though in the moment when they're young and you think, they're young, it's not going to hurt them, but it hurts them, and they carry it with them. 'You will face your adult children, and beg for their forgiveness, because I've been there.' Brandon and Dylan's lives have been as much of a rollercoaster ride as their parents Pamela and Tommy Lee's relationship was (both pictured in 1997 She added: 'We just do the best we can, and there's no perfect way of being a parent. 'The normal thing to do as a parent is, of course, to make your kids feel like everything is normal and fine,' he told Interview magazine in 2019. 'I remember one day asking my mom, 'Hey, why does everybody take photos of us?' And she said, 'Oh, they do that to everybody.' Liam sparked initial romance rumours with Pamela in October when he said he was 'madly in love' with the Playboy cover girl. 'She's just terrific to work with,' Liam told People. Jerry Zucker, Jim Abrahams, and David Zucker wrote and directed the original trilogy spanning 1988-1994, which amassed a total $476.4M at the global box office, following the short-lived ABC series Police Squad in 1982. The Oscar-nominated actor is technically five years older than original Naked Gun star Leslie Nielsen was when he shot the third film. Anderson previously worked with the late funnyman - who died, age 84, in 2010 - in Scary Movie 3 (2003) and Superhero Movie (2008), but they did not share any scenes together. For Liam, the romance with Pamela would mark the end of a protracted spell on the sidelines, having remained stoically single following the sudden death of actress wife Natasha in 2009 - 15-years after they exchanged vows. Richardson was just 45 when she died of an epidural hematoma, two days after sustaining a head injury during a beginner's skiing lesson in Canada. A subsequent post mortem revealed that Richardson died from bleeding in her skull caused by the fall on a ski slope in Mont Tremblant. 'It was a horrible thing to happen,' he later told PEOPLE of the skiing accident that claimed Richardson's life.
