Teen dead after crash between dirt bike, deer: RCMP

A fatal crash between a dirt bike and a deer has left a teenage boy dead in the RM of Dauphin. The RCMP was first called to the incident, which took place on Road 114W, around 9:50 p.m. on Saturday. When Mounties arrived at the scene, they found a dirt bike lying on the road and a 15-year-old boy in medical distress. The teen was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries. Officers investigated and determined the teen was riding the dirt bike down the road when the collision took place. Police said the teen was not wearing a helmet and was thrown from his bike during the crash. RCMP continues to investigate.

A teen boy died after the dirt bike he was riding collided with a deer just north of Dauphin, Man., on the weekend. RCMP were called just before 10 p.m. Saturday to Road 114 W., southeast of the small community of Valley River. Officers found the dirt bike lying on the road with a 15-year-old boy nearby in medical distress, police said in a news release on Monday. Paramedics rushed the boy to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Police say the boy was riding on the road when the crash occurred. He was not wearing a helmet and was thrown from the machine.

Motorcyclist dead after colliding into deer in Lockport

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — One person is dead after a collision involving a deer occurred overnight Monday in the Town of Lockport. Officials said a person was riding a motorcycle when they hit a deer, left the road, and then hit a telephone pole overnight on Purdy Road. Police received reports of the accident just before 7 a.m. where they found the motorcyclist deceased. The name of the motorcyclist is being held pending notification to family.
