1 man stabbed to death, another wounded in fight at Navy Pier Beer Garden
A man was stabbed to death Sunday evening in a fight at the Beer Garden at Navy Pier. The attacker was also stabbed and seriously wounded. Police said at 5:30 p.m., a 56-year-old man got into a quarrel with a 64-year-old man he knew. The fight turned physical, and the older man stabbed the younger man multiple times, police said. The victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with multiple lacerations to his upper body. He died at the hospital, police said. The attacker suffered a laceration to his chest, and was taken to the same hospital in serious condition, police said. The attacker was also in police custody late Sunday. Belmont Area detectives are investigating.

Sacramento County deputies respond to shooting that injured 1
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said a man was shot and injured early Sunday morning. Around 5:30 a.m., deputies responded to the 9500 block of Osman Way for reports of a shooting. The Sheriff's Office said the man was shot in the leg, and he was taken to the hospital by a family member, with injuries that were not life-threatening. He was shot while walking outside, the Sheriff's Office said, and detectives are investigating.

12-year-old boy accused of stealing cars in Oakland County, selling one for $30, sheriff says
A 12-year-old boy was arrested Friday in connection with a string of car thefts from a Pontiac business. The boy entered several vehicles in a business parking lot, according to authorities, and was carrying a license plate when he was arrested. Detectives say the boy has taken three or four vehicles over the last month and sold at least one vehicle for $30. "This young man is on a very bad path, attempting to live his own grand theft auto," said Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard in a statement. "Hopefully intervention by the courts will send him on a better life path as well as stopping the constant theft from this business." The boy is currently being held in Oakland County Children's Village, according to officials. An investigation is ongoing. Through their investigation, detectives learned the boy had taken three or four vehicles over the past month, selling at least one of them for $30.

Body recovered from Lake Michigan near 63rd Street Beach, police say
An investigation is underway after a body was pulled from Lake Michigan Saturday afternoon. Chicago police said the body was recovered just before 12:30 p.m. in the 6300 block of South Hayes Drive near 63rd Street beach. The victim, only described as a man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity was not released. The recovery comes one week after a person went missing in Lake Michigan near the 63rd Street beach, just one of four incidents that happened on the water last weekend. Police did not confirm if the recovery is connected to the missing person. No further information was available. Area detectives are investigating.

Woman found fatally wounded Friday night in Washington Park neighborhood
A 20-year-old woman was discovered unresponsive and fatally wounded Friday night on the South Side in the Washington Park neighborhood, Chicago police said. Shortly after 9:30 a.m., officers and paramedics responded to a call of a person shot in the 5400 block of South Prairie Avenue. When they arrived, the victim was unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head, police said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
