Nova radio host Tim Blackwell's former wife Monique throws divorce party - and debuts new man - after her ex went public with a much younger woman: 'Living life full throttle'
Monique Blackwell is celebrating her divorce from Nova radio star Tim Blackwell, getting the ultimate revenge with a new beau on her arm. The entrepreneur and yoga instructor, who split from her former husband in December 2023 after 14 years of marriage, took to Instagram on Tuesday to reveal that she was throwing a party in Gadigal Country following the finalisation of her divorce. 'Divorceeeeee parteeee,' she captioned the post, alongside a lightning bolt emoji. Monique, who shares three children with the radio star, added: 'Living life full throttle.' The Mond Women studio owner then went on to thank her 'wonderful friends' who were able to attend the shindig and who were 'so beautiful in response' to her speech on the big night. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'And my ride or dies that supported me to live in a space of grace (instead of cray cray which I would really liked to have leaned into)' she added. She then apologised for not getting everyone in the photos but noted that the lack of pictures was a 'sign of a good party'. Monique ended the post: 'Finally love to Perth and Melbs peeps - I'm coming home for you some champs.' In the slew of photos, Monique could be seen looking stunning in a colourful, floor-length dress, flashing a smile as she celebrated with her nearest and dearest - with one nearer than the others. In one image, Monique was seen getting cosy with a silver-haired man, touching his chest as he lovingly put his arm around her waist. The mystery man is believed to be Liam Walsh, the former managing director of Facebook Australia and New Zealand. Monique and Liam made a handsome couple as they partied the night away alongside her friends, celebrating a new chapter as she moved on from her former marriage. For the celebration, Monique pulled out all the stops with cupcakes, stickers and glasses of bubbles at the ready. She even gave a speech via microphone to commemorate the night. News of Monique's divorce party comes after her former husband Tim went public with his much younger girlfriend Lizzie Baxter in November - a year after he announced his divorce. Tim, 43, and Lizzie, 28, who is 15 years his junior and a producer for Nova's Fitzy & Wippa, couldn't keep their hands off each other as they went red carpet official at the 2024 ARIA Awards. Tim, who was hosting the annual music awards ceremony, officially confirmed their relationship to Daily Mail Australia and said Lizzie was his 'date'. The lovebirds are believed to have started dating after Tim's marriage broke down. In a flirty exchange on social media, Tim announced he was hosting the awards show and Lizzie asked in the comments if she could be his date for the evening. 'Do you need a date by any chance? You're hot,' she wrote. 'I'll be working. Wouldn't that be unprofessional?' Blackwell responded, before quickly adding, 'I'll think about it...' She teased in reply: 'Hasn't stopped you in the past.' Lizzie works as a content producer for Fitzy and Wippa in the same Sydney office as Tim, who is one-third of the national drive show alongside Ricki-Lee Coulter and comedian Joel Creasey. Since going public, the couple have packed on the PDA, sharing a number of loved-up images to Instagram while attending glamorous events and enjoying romantic getaways. Monique broke the news of her and Tim's split via Instagram on December 10, 2023. 'Not all good things end, but this has,' she captioned a gallery of photos of herself with Tim in happier times. 'Thank you in advance for your messages of love, support and sadness at the news that Tim and I are no longer together. 'Our babes are forever supported by Tim and I's love for them. And our friendship is a source of strength for our family always, as we raise our children as best friends.' The former couple share children Bo, 12, Alfie, nine, and Artie, six. Tim, who co-hosts Nova FM's number one national drive show Ricki-Lee, Tim & Joel, remained silent on Instagram for over a week after his wife's announcement. He wouldn't address his marriage split directly until September. At that time, he opened up about his separation and co-parenting on his podcast, Introducing with Tim Blackwell, during a conversation with singer Missy Higgins. In a gut-wrenching admission, Tim admitted he felt like a failure as a parent when his marriage to Monique ended - but stressed their story wasn't over yet. 'You think you failed ... I clearly failed at the marriage, tick, but then you think you failed as a parent,' he said. Tim added: 'You realise I'm still in it... Especially as co-parents. 'We're still in the relationship. It just looks different. I think we're working harder on the relationship we don't have anymore'. Tim and Monique first met in 2002 after he moved to Perth to launch Nova 93.7's drive show. Recently, Blackwell was slammed by fans after sharing a series of loved-up photos with his new girlfriend Lizzie. Tim took to Instagram to share a series of photos that showed him enjoying a romantic Thai vacation with his new lady love. The pair were not afraid to pack on the PDA either, with one photo showing a bikini-clad Lizzie sitting on Tim's lap as the couple sipped cocktails with their arms around each other. Not everyone was enamoured with the photos however, with many fans slamming the radio host for being 'insensitive' to his ex-wife. 'How's Mon?' one follower asked, before adding: 'Show some respect.' 'Too much show some respect to Monique,' echoed another. 'Geez, I hope your kids don't follow your Insta,' chastised a third. It wasn't all negativity, however, with many jumping in to defend Tim and Lizzie's relationship. 'They split up more than a year ago,' came one reply. 'How long should he wait?' Another offered: 'Wow! Some people are not life to live.'

Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans planning sordid act to celebrate divorce
Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans revealed the surprising way she plans on celebrating the end of her decade-long relationship with estranged husband David Eason. While appearing on Page Six's Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, the reality star, 33, shared that she will be marking the end of her marriage by hosting a divorce party at a strip club in New York City. 'I've survived chaos, heartbreak, betrayal and years of public drama, but I'm still standing, stronger than ever,' the TV personality said. 'This divorce is my official reset button and I'm throwing a massive celebration to mark the start of me finally living life on my own terms.' The 'I Do, I Did, I'm Done'-themed bash will be held at Spearmint Rhino Gentlemen's Club on June 12. In February 2024, Evans filed for separation, six years after tying the knot. She said the separation was due to David's 'erratic behavior' as well as claiming that he was suffering from 'substance abuse.' Jenelle later took to her Instagram stories to confirm that she had separated from David. It came shortly after Jenelle allegedly kicked David and his daughter, Maryssa, out of her home, The U.S. Sun reported last year. The claims also came shortly after the TV personality had reunited with her son Jace, - just days after Child Protective Services dropped its case against her and Eason. The teenager had been removed from the North Carolina home after David allegedly attacked him in September 2023. Eason was charged with misdemeanor child abuse and felony strangulation after Jace told doctors that his stepfather had abused him after he attempted to run away. The alleged assault reportedly happened at an acquaintance's home, and it was allegedly captured on video from a Ring doorbell camera. A CPS investigation into the couple was also launched in the wake of the alleged abuse, though Jenelle has said that it was closed. In January, their divorce was dismissed in a North Carolina court, according to documents obtained by The U.S. Sun. MTV famously fired David in 2018 over homophobic and transphobic tweets, and the cable network fired the hot-tempered brunette in 2019 after nine seasons of Teen Mom 2 shortly after he shot and killed their French Bulldog, Nugget. After Evans initially called the Columbus County Sheriff's Office to report that her husband had shot and killed their dog, she subsequently claimed that she had not seen the shooting or seen any evidence that the dog was actually dead. That got police to end the investigation into the killing, only for Eason to admit months later that he had shot and killed the tiny dog, which he claimed had bitten their daughter Ensley Jolie, who was two at the time. Audiences were first introduced to Evans back in 2010 when she appeared in the second season of MTV reality show, 16 and Pregnant.
