Keanu Reeves signs up for F1 docuseries as Brad Pitt's movie is a box office smash

Keanu Reeves isn't going to let Brad Pitt be the only one repping Formula One onscreen. The 60-year-old Matrix star has just signed on to produce and host a new docuseries about the Cadillac team's journey to the highest class of worldwide racing for open-wheel single-seater cars. Keanu heads up the VIP behind-the-scenes look at the creation of F1's newest operation, which will air before Cadillac's debut at Melbourne 's Albert Park next March. 'I'm very honored and excited to be a part of telling the remarkable Cadillac Formula 1 Team story and its incredible journey into the world of Formula 1 racing,' Keanu told on Wednesday. 'Our goal with the docuseries is to bring audiences into the heart of this journey and showcase what it takes to participate in one of the most exclusive sports arenas in the world.' The docuseries reunites Reeves with his Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story showrunner Simon Hammerson after the pair triumphantly won an International Emmy Award on November 25. TWG Motorsports CEO Dan Towriss said the team was 'honored to work with Keanu, whose passion and knowledge of racing runs deep, and proud to partner with GM on this incredible story. 'We have an opportunity to welcome a new generation of fans to Formula 1 and Keanu's creativity is the perfect spark to ignite that journey.' Last March, the Ballerina producer-star and his fellow ARCH Motorcycle co-founder Gard Hollinger executive produced and co-hosted the innovative docuseries Visionaries for the Roku Channel. Ironically, Keanu did not perform that well when he made his own motorsport debut in the Toyota GR Cup North America amateur race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway last October. In a field of 33 racers, Reeves finished in 25th place and 24th place in two races after spinning out his Eagle Canyon Racing-prepared GR86 into the grass, but he did not crash. 'Hi, I'm Keanu Reeves, I'm No. 92, the first [session] today was a blast,' the Beirut-born Canadian said at the time. It's fun. Racing is fun…it's fun. Everyone says it's fun, and it's fun.' But in 2009, Keanu and his front-drive Scion tC coupé managed to win the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race in Long Beach, CA against other A-list drivers. Speaking of which, other celebs who've felt the need for speed in real life have included Tom Cruise, Patrick Dempsey, Eric Bana, Caitlyn Jenner, and the late great Paul Newman. Reeves will next portray Estragon opposite Alex Winter's Vladimir in director Jamie Lloyd's Broadway revival of Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot, which begins previews September 13 before the September 28-January 4, 2026 run at the Hudson Theatre in Manhattan. The Sonic the Hedgehog 3 star will also portray the angel Gabriel in Aziz Ansari's feature directorial debut Good Fortune - hitting US/UK theaters October 17 - alongside Seth Rogen, Keke Palmer, and Sandra Oh. Keanu's other upcoming projects include Francis Lawrence's long-delayed Constantine sequel, Jonah Hill's black comedy Outcome for Apple TV+, and Ruben Östlund's satirical black comedy The Entertainment System Is Down.

Michigan AG launches investigation into Twin Flames Universe after docuseries

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced on Tuesday that her office has launched an investigation into the Twin Flames Universe organization after a docuseries on Netflix. Nessel said multiple search warrants were executed "upon individuals atop the Twin Flames Universe organization and its associated properties, under the authority of a judge finding probable cause that crimes have been committed by TFU and their leadership." The Michigan AG's office, as well as the U.S. Office of Inspector General, Michigan State Police, the Leelanau County Sheriff's Office and the Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office executed the warrant. The organization in Leelanau County, which is operated by Jeff and Shaleia Divine, has a large following online, according to Nessel, and it gained recognition after its docuseries. "Desparately Seeking Soulamte: Escaping Twin Flames Universe" was released in 2023 and follows former members who claimed the organization was an online cult. This story is developing.

This Controversial Netflix Show Just Dropped Season 2—and It's Already Causing a Major Stir

One of Netflix's most buzzed-about (and controversial) docuseries is back. America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders returned for season two on June 18. And it's already making major waves: The new seven-episode season quickly secured a spot in Netflix's coveted Top 10 list. While it didn't secure the number one spot (this soapy-drama did), it initially debuted in second and currently is in third, proving once again that whether people are watching out of love or hate, they're definitely tuning in. In case you missed it, here's a quick synopsis. The show is a sports docu-series that takes viewers behind the scenes with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. From intense auditions and grueling training camps to performing on game day, America's Sweethearts follows both returning veterans and new hopefuls trying to make—and stay on—the most iconic cheer squad in the NFL. Courtesy of Netflix Season two dives even further beyond the pom-poms, digging deeper into the cheerleaders' fight for better pay and respect in a system that hasn't evolved much since the squad's creation over 60 years ago. When it first premiered, the series sparked backlash for a multitude of reasons. It exposed the realities of the profession—from body image pressures and disordered eating to the shockingly low pay and outdated expectations. And while those truths are frustrating to watch, not every viewer found the show enraging. In fact, PureWow editors Catrina Yohay and Greta Heggeness found it…therapeutic. As a former college athlete, Yohay especially connected with the series. 'Watching these women work to achieve what they believe to be the pinnacle of their careers sent me right back to the many years I spent striving for the same thing, and boy was it cathartic,' she said following season one. And Heggeness was thrilled about the season two renewal, which gave her "plenty of time to perfect the 'Thunderstruck' choreography." Love it or hate it, one thing's clear: the show is making people feel. Both seasons of America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are now streaming on Netflix. Pregnant Sophie Habboo and husband Jamie Laing set to star in new Disney+ series exploring their 'no holds barred whirlwind journey' to parenthood

Sophie Habboo and Jamie Laing are set to document their 'no holds barred whirlwind journey' to parenthood in an upcoming Disney+ series. The pregnant TV star, 30, and her presenter husband, 36 - who tied the knot in 2023 - will bringing their journey to becoming parents to screens, after sharing last month that they are expecting their first child. The Made In Chelsea couple - who are known for their infectious energy and no filter truth-telling - will take viewers through the steps of the next chapter in their lives in a 'refreshingly relatable series'. The docuseries will explore everything from Sophie's pregnancy to balancing their busy professional lives, as well as moving into their first family home, navigating support – and unsolicited advice. Fans will be also treated to a closer look of how the IT couple managed to build up their top-charting podcast. Speaking of the upcoming project, Jamie and Sophie said: 'For nearly a decade, we've brought audiences along the highs and lows of our personal and professional lives through TV, radio, social media and our podcasts. 'It's such an honour to now partner with the incredible teams at Disney+ and Dorothy St Pictures to bring our next chapter to viewers across the globe. 'Navigating our lives with a baby on the way has opened up a whole new stage of our relationship – we can't wait to give you a front row seat!' The series was commissioned by Sean Doyle, Executive Director and is produced by Dorothy St Pictures in association with Jampot Productions. Sean, Executive Director of Unscripted at Disney+, said: 'We've seen great success over the past couple of years with our Disney+ Original unscripted series such as 'Finding Michael', 'Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story', 'Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story' and more recently, 'Flintoff'. The happy lovebirds and soon to be parents announced they were expecting their first child together earlier this month - revealing the news with an ultrasound snap. The news comes as Disney+ also announced the reboot of a legendary dating show along with a new reality series set to explore Wayne and Coleen Rooney 's relationship 'like never before'. Blind Date was famously hosted by the late Cilla Black from 1985 to 2003 and now the show will return to screens 'bigger, better, and bolder than ever'. The new ten-part series will start in a secret location and contestants will be faced with the choice between three potential suitors who will be hidden away behind the legendary 'Blind Date' wall. Disney+ promises 'head-turning' twists as the couples spend the summer living together, and production is set to begin later this year. The iconic British game show originally saw a contestant question three potential dates hidden behind a screen – which would then slide back to reveal their chosen match. Though not yet officially confirmed, it was previously reported the new version will take place on a tropical island, just like ITV 's Love Island, hosted by Maya Jama – with contestants battling it out for a dream wedding on golden sands. A TV insider previously told The Sun: 'This sounds like a radical departure from the old Blind Date, one that definitely has hints of Love Island about it. 'But fans will recall a lot of the dates took place in hot, sunny climes abroad, and producers want to recapture some of the steamy fun, and expand upon that. 'Even the wedding element has hints of the old show because the dream was always that the dates on the programme would lead to couples tying the knot.'
