S&P Upgrades Pakistan's Rating on Better Financial Conditions
S&P Global Ratings upgraded Pakistan's credit rating, citing better financial conditions in a boost for the government's efforts to bolster the South Asian country's economy. It upgraded Pakistan to 'B-' from 'CCC+', with a stable outlook on its long-term rating. Other countries that S&P rates similarly are Nigeria, Egypt, Kenya and Ecuador. Most dollar bonds extended gains.

Senegal's Dollar Bonds Slump as Report Raises New Debt Concerns

The West African country's government debt unexpectedly rose to 119% of gross domestic product last year, Barclays Plc said in a report citing the latest budget data. That's well above the 99.7% indicated in a recent audit of the nation's finances.

Adani's Mumbai Airport Gets $750 Million From Apollo-Led Lenders
Adani Group has signed a deal to raise around $750 million through a private placement of dollar bonds from global investors led by Apollo Global Management, according to people familiar with the matter. Mumbai International Airport Ltd. (MIAL), a unit of the conglomerate that operates Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai, will use the proceeds to refinance debt raised in 2022, said the people who asked not to be identified because the matter is confidential.

Senegal Must Clarify $7 Billion Fiscal Gap Before IMF Talks
Senegal's dollar bonds plunged after the International Monetary Fund said it wants more clarity on a $7 billion fiscal hole discovered under the previous administration before it can discuss a fresh program with the new government. The Washington-based lender is awaiting 'the final audit outcome' following an earlier review, which found that former President Macky Sall's administration misreported debt and budget deficit data, IMF spokesperson Julie Kozack said Thursday.

Colombia Bonds Drop on Reports That Fiscal Rule May be Suspended
Colombia's sovereign dollar bonds dropped across the curve on Thursday after local media reported that the government might suspend the fiscal rule that limited budget spending and helped steady the markets for more than a decade. Notes due in 2054 slipped 0.3 cent on the dollar, the biggest drop in two weeks, according to indicative pricing data compiled by Bloomberg. Local government peso bonds, or TES, also fell.
