Local Funds Double Down on Indian Stocks With $40 Billion Buying
Domestic institutional investors are continuing to power India's equity markets, with net purchases so far in 2025 inching toward last year's record influx.
Local funds have already bought a net amount of more than $40 billion in the first half, compared with nearly $63 billion in 2024. In contrast, global investors have pulled about $8 billion from Indian equities this year, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
