Dog the Bounty Hunter's family had a tragic end to July after Gregory Zecca, son of Dog's wife Francie, killed his 13-year-old boy in an accidental shooting at their apartment. The story is developing, but what we know so far is that through a representative, Dog and Francie told TMZ, "We are grieving as a family over this incomprehensible tragic accident and would ask for continued prayers as we grieve the loss of our beloved grandson, Anthony." In regards to the investigation, TMZ stated, "Law enforcement confirms to us they responded to a call about a shooting around 8 PM ET. They haven't made any arrests and call this an 'isolated incident.' The investigation is ongoing." Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter" Chapman got engaged to his current wife, Francie, after both of their spouses died. Duane Chapman was married to Beth for 13 years before she passed away due to throat cancer. In an interview with Entertainment, Francie explained the strength of their new relationship, saying, 'We understood the pain that the other one was feeling and [in] those tough days and moments, we helped each other stand up. We could cry with each other and talk about what we were feeling. We were able to walk alongside each other through the pain and heartbreak and it brought us together in this amazing way.' Later in the Entertainment interview, Francie mentioned her grandson and Dog's budding relationship, recalling, 'I had them come over and [Duane] shows up at the door and I think my son sat there for five minutes and couldn't say a word because he was shell-shocked." Adding, "Now they love him. My grandson calls him 'Grandpa Dog' already.' Non-profit Brady United reports, "According to the CDC, there is an average of 503 people—including 106 children—who are killed each year by unintentional shootings. Further, hospital-based reporting from the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP) indicates that an average of 32,758 people—including 2,893 children—are unintentionally shot and sustain non-fatal injuries each year." According to the outlet, local law enforcement officers in Naples, Florida, responded to a call about a shooting on Saturday, July 19. Police officers told TMZ that they believed it was an 'isolated incident' and there has not yet been any arrest in connection to the case. Anthony is the son of Francie's child from a previous marriage, Gregory Zecca. Francie and Dog got married in 2021 after the deaths of their respective first spouses. Josh Bashford's family say court delays have 'destroyed' them
A family say they have been "destroyed" by multiple delays of the trial of a man who is accused of murdering their son and his wife in their family Bashford, 33, and his 30-year-old wife, Chloe, died in Newhaven in June 2023, and a man was charged by police soon after.A trial has been postponed five times - delays which Josh's mother, Sharon Bashford, said were "cruel", and had left the family feeling there has not been any justice for her Ministry of Justice said in a statement: "We know that justice delayed is justice denied, and it is clear there are many cases taking far too long to go to trial." Mrs Bashford said: "We're fighting every day and it takes so much strength from us. We can't move on with our lives."We're tired. We're finding it difficult to cope. We don't sleep, we just exist."In August 2023, Derek Martin, from Moulsecoomb in Brighton, denied murdering the couple.A trial was due to begin in October of that year, but following a series of delays, a brief hearing was held last trial was then adjourned until delays have meant that the family were left not knowing how Josh died, Mrs Bashford said.
