TV host Kelly Ripa has provided viewers with knowledgeable advice for over two decades, but her guidance as a mother is truly unmatched. The journalist was recently praised by her daughter, Lola Consuelos, whom she shares with husband Mark Consuelos, for her 'meaningful' fashion advice.
'Is there any piece of advice that I gave you when you were young that you thought was such bulls--t, and then you were like, 'Oh my God, my mom was right,'' Kelly, 54, asked Lola, 24, during the Wednesday, June 25, episode of the 'Let's Talk Off Camera With Kelly Ripa' podcast.
Lola gushed that her mom has given her plenty of tips on how to navigate life, but one recommendation stood out the most.

'One of them being don't wear leggings as pants. That was amazing,' Lola admitted.
Lola's answer was quite humorous, as she was wearing leggings during the podcast episode. However, she shared that she came straight from the gym.
Beyond the materialistic advice, the 'Roles' singer shared that Kelly, who also shares sons Michael Consuelos and Joaquin Consuelos with Mark, 54, taught her to be 'respectful and kind.'
"It's been really valuable and I forget that a lot of people don't get that foundational advice that should be like a baseline of respect," Lola said. "Some people don't have that, which blows my mind. But it's amazing that you guys raised the boys and I so amazingly."
The 'Divine Timing' artist also reflected on a recent roadblock she faced, which she overcame by wise words she received from Kelly.
"You were like, 'I'm telling you, when you stop giving that fluster-ness attention, it will all fall into place,'" Lola continued. "And I stopped giving that thing in my head attention. And lo and behold, everything got into place."
Kelly and Mark have opened up about their parenting styles over the years and shared that they wanted to raise great human beings.
"I think I had definitive ideas about raising girls versus raising boys, even though I don't really believe in gender stereotyping,' the family matriarch told People in 2020. 'My sons are just as sensitive as my daughter, and my daughter is as strong as my sons.'
