'Like wild animals!': American woman berates Oasis fans' behaviour at Heaton Park gig
An American woman caused a stir after complaining about the 'filthy' venue and 'drunk' patrons after attending an Oasis show in Manchester.
Alexis said the sold-out Oasis gig, which was attended by 80,000 people, was the 'filthiest concert' she had ever been to.
She shared her shock at the amount of 'drunkenness' in the crowd of 'wild animals', people throwing drinks, the lack of bins, and that the bar menu wasn't to her liking.
The tourist's gripes were met with a barrage of outraged comments from British Oasis fans defending UK concert culture and Manchester.
Alexis travelled to Manchester for one of the five Oasis shows at Heaton Park with her partner.
She said she knew Manchester wasn't going to be her 'favourite place' when some light research prior to her trip revealed the city didn't have a Chanel or Hermes store.
'I knew right out of the gate that it probably wasn't going to be my cup of tea,' she said.
'We spent most of the day looking for something to do and legitimately I think the only thing to do there is go to pubs and drink pints and we did that before the show.'

After 'choking down' a drink at a bar, Alexis set off to what she expected to be a 'nice concert' but had her reservations as she had been told it would not be 'civilised'.
'It was a great show but it was the dirtiest concert I have ever been to...I have never seen a more concentrated group of drunkenness,' she said.
'You go to a concert and sometimes you see maybe one or two people that are kind of like 'you've been overserved'. This be lucky if you found two people that hadn't been overserved.'
Alexis's woes continued when she went to the bar to get a drink and was dismayed to find they were only serving beer and vodka mixers.
'They had like four things you could mix vodka had Pepsi Max, which I had never even heard of,' she recalled.
'They had vodka lemonade, and when I asked what kind of lemonade it was she goes, 'Oh it's basically like a Sprite', it was a brand I've never heard of.
'I said well that's not lemonade. I got it and I asked for six limes, and I squeezed six limes in thinking that would make it a serviceable drink - it did not. I couldn't drink it.'
Because she didn't like any of the alcoholic options offered, Alexis said she was a 'sober Sally' for the evening and claims she was one of the few people not drunk at the show.
Then Alexis said she tried to find a bin to throw away her rubbish.
'I didn't want to be the riff raff that was throwing everything on the floor. I've never seen a dirtier place. I looked for a trash can, I couldn't find one,' she said.
'Finally, I did find a cluster of four trash cans. There were 80,000 people at this concert, I only saw a cluster of four trash cans the entire time I was there.'
She added that she got 'blasted' by a drink that had been thrown by another concertgoer 'because the lads were losing their minds over Oasis and launching drinks into the air like wild animals'.
Overall, Alexis said the people of Manchester were very 'friendly' but she probably won't be returning after her experience.
'Overall my review of Manchester was, the people - incredible. I love the people of Manchester, you can't find a friendlier bunch of people, probably because they're all drunk but regardless they were so nice,' she said.
'But there's not a lot to do in Manchester, I will probably never go back.'
Alexis's review of Manchester and the Oasis show has British viewers reeling and they shared their outrage in the comments.

'Imagine what she'd be like at an actual UK festival, she'd cry after half an hour,' one user replied.
'I feel like you don't get Oasis if you have a problem with this stuff,' another agreed.
'I'm furious that I couldn't get a ticket and you did,' one fan complained.
'Here's a bit of advice; do a bit of research before visiting a place. Oasis; known for the rise of laddish behaviour in the UK. Manchester; birthplace of the industrial revolution. No bins; the history of terror attacks in the UK. If you want to go shopping go to the Trafford Centre,' someone wrote.
Another added: 'Oh no, we don't attend an Oasis concert in their hometown and slag it off…people would have paid a fortune to appreciate that show.'
Some suspected the drink that hit Alexis may have contained something more sinister than beer or water.
'Is anyone going to tell her that probably wasn't a drink?' one man said.
'It's urine. I'm so sorry I've been to Liam twice and Noel once then the Oasis gig the other day it's a common occurrence unfortunately,' a second pointed out.
