All the new treats hitting shelves including Pot Noodle and Digestives – but can YOU spot the difference?
SCANNING the aisles in your supermarket, you might not spot the latest food and drink treats hitting shelves. The packaging looks VERY similar to well-known products that are picked up by shoppers every week - but inside are new flavours waiting to be tried. 7 Here we round up the latest launches from major brands, such as McVities, Nescafe and Pot Noodle. Can you spot what they've changed? We reveal the new product launches we can't wait to try. Digestives - raspberry and cream McVitie's has put a fruity spin on its classic biscuit with the launch of the limited-edition raspberry and cream flavour. The digestive is topped with a pink chocolate in the nostalgic flavours. A full rollout of the limited edition flavour will see the snacks hit UK supermarkets from July 21. You can pick up a standard 15-pack of the biscuits for £2.35, while the current promo version is marked down to just £1.85. Jammie Dodgers - mango and passionfruit 7 Jammie Dodgers has released a flurry of new flavours with the latest being Mango and Passionfruit. The flavour has had mixed reactions on social media with some enjoying the latest taste and others preferring the original. A 140g packet of the biscuits is 90p at Sainsbury's. Pot Noodle - flame grilled steak A Flame Grilled Steak version of popular instant noodle snack has hit shelves this week. The new Pot Noodle flavour with a smokey, grilled steak flavour sauce, has been highly requested by fans, according to the food maker. The flavour is available exclusively in Asda for £1.20 per pot. Jaffa Cakes - hot honey 7 Jaffa Cakes have jumped on the sweet spicy trend and revealed a Hot Honey flavour. The flavour has caused a stir online - and not everyone's a fan. The treats are exclusively on sale at Asda stores nationwide for £1.50 for a box of 10 before being rolled out to other retailers from the end of July. New York Bakery - subs 7 If you've loved the bagels from New York Bakery, the firm has now branched out into offering subs so that you can create your own big sandwiches at home. The company has launched three flavours including original, Italian style, and roasted onion. The subs are available in Tesco, Morrisons, Co-op and Ocado £1.79 for a two-pack. Nescafe - various flavours 7 Nescafe has launched not one, but three, new chocolate flavours of its popular coffee drink, leaving some s hoppers very excited. Mint chocolate lovers will be delighted by the Aero Peppermint Mocha, as well as the "green triangle" mocha flavour - branded alongside Quality Street. And finally there is a vanilla cookie dough latte added to new lineup. The 250g cans sell at Morrisons for £3.50 each. Why are products axed or recipes changed? ANALYSIS by chief consumer reporter James Flanders. Food and drinks makers have been known to tweak their recipes or axe items altogether. They often say that this is down to the changing tastes of customers. There are several reasons why this could be done. For example, government regulation, like the "sugar tax," forces firms to change their recipes. Some manufacturers might choose to tweak ingredients to cut costs. They may opt for a cheaper alternative, especially when costs are rising to keep prices stable. For example, Tango Cherry disappeared from shelves in 2018. It has recently returned after six years away but as a sugar-free version. Fanta removed sweetener from its sugar-free alternative earlier this year. Suntory tweaked the flavour of its flagship Lucozade Original and Orange energy drinks. While the amount of sugar in every bottle remains unchanged, the supplier swapped out the sweetener aspartame for sucralose.

Greggs launches summer menu including new bake and iced latte that fans will go crazy for
GREGGS has launched its summer menu for 2025 and it includes a new bake and biscuit-inspired iced latte that fans will go crazy for. The high street favourite has added a wave of new options to its shelves, with new spicy chicken sandwiches, summer drinks and sweet treats joining the line-up. 11 Available in shops nationwide from tomorrow, May 15, the new menu includes a Red Pepper, Feta & Spinach Bake, which has already been dubbed 'lush' by excited followers on Instagram. The Mediterranean-style pastry will cost £2.10. For coffee lovers, the new Caramelised Biscuit Latte is proving to be the star of the show. Available hot from £2.75 or iced from £3.10, it's inspired by the popular Lotus Biscoff biscuit. Greggs has also upped its hot sandwich offering, introducing a new Korean Chicken range. It features a Korean Crispy Chicken Burger from £4, a BBQ Chicken Wrap from £3.80, and a Spicy Korean BBQ Chicken Baguette from £3.60 – all part of its Hot Sandwich, Wedges & Drink Deal. A new Chicken, Sweetcorn and Red Onion Pizza slice is also joining the menu, priced from £2.40, available as part of Greggs' after-4pm Pizza Deal. On the sweeter side, there's a Lemon Meringue Muffin from £1.55, which can be paired with a hot drink in a meal deal. Customers can also pick up Plenish wellness shots, with Ginger Immunity and Turmeric Recovery options both priced at £1.55 and a fat-free Greek Style Yogurt with Strawberry Compote, priced from £1.55. The new menu is available for in-store purchase, click and collect via the Greggs app, and delivery through Just Eat and Uber Eats. Greggs taste test Greggs posted the announcement online with the caption: 'Babe wake up, Greggs summer menu just dropped!!' Fans shared their excitement for the new menu. One customer wrote: "That biscuit latte looks so good", others agreed saying: "the latte looks amazing". A third said: "could really go for that lemon muffin". Whilst another added: "need that chicken sandwich, yum". But not everyone is thrilled by the new launch. Comments were quickly flooded with complaints from fans asking where the vegan options were. 'This is so disappointing, where's the vegan stuff?' one user asked. Another added: 'Give the vegans what they want for gods sake.' It seems fans still haven't recovered from the Vegan Steak Bake being axed from menus last year. Customers were hoping the veganuary menu signalled a long-term commitment to expanding Greggs' vegan offering, but many have been left disappointed by its absence from the summer launch.
