Liverpool are set to sign goalkeeper Freddie Woodman when his contract at Preston North End expires at the end of June. Woodman started his professional career at Newcastle United before going out on loan to Hartlepool United, Crawley Town, Kilmarnock, Aberdeen, Swansea City and Bournemouth. The former England Under-21s international joined Preston on a permanent basis in 2022 and made 138 appearances for the Championship club. He played 44 times in all competitions for Preston last season.
