Two men charged after Bedford town centre stabbing
Two men have been charged following a town centre stabbing.A man was injured in Iddesleigh Road, Bedford at about 21:40 BST on 20 men in their 20s have now been charged with grievous bodily harm and one was also charged with possession of a knife or bladed other men, also in their 20s, were arrested in connection with the incident and released on bail. Two people have been charged following an assault at a hotel. Lincolnshire Police was called to the Travelodge at the Springfields Outlet Centre in Spalding at about 21:45 BST on Tuesday. A 24-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman were arrested and have been charged with causing grievous bodily harm and assaulting an emergency worker. The man has also been charged with perverting the course of justice. The pair have been remanded in custody until their next hearing, police said. The victim was taken to hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. Police are asking witnesses to come forward if they have not already been in touch. Teen critical after brick thrown into High Wycombe car
A teenager has been left with life-threatening facial and head injuries after a brick was believed to have been thrown into a moving happened on Walton Drive in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, at about 21:20 BST on said they thought the object entered the blue BMW through an open window. The man, in his late teens, remains in hospital in a critical condition.A 17-year-old boy, from High Wycombe, was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and released on bail until 10 September. Det Ch Insp Holly Stockwell, from Thames Valley Police, said: "I understand this assault will be concerning but we believed it was a targeted attack with no threat to the wider public."She said patrols had been increased in the area and appealed for witnesses to get in touch.
