Victoria Beckham says David's hair 'looks terrible' after DIY buzzcut goes wrong and leaves bald patch

If you're anything like us, you srsly back Victoria Beckham. The one-time Spice Girl and current reigning fashion mogul is known for being, well, faultlessly chic. And while she's best known as a style icon, she's also got some serious stakes in the beauty world. Alongside her luxury fashion brand, she runs her own beauty line called (what else?) Victoria Beckham Beauty. And when you look back at her hair transformations over the years, you begin to understand that she is responsible for some of the most major hair trends from recent memory: from chunky highlights and a blonde pixie in the aughts, to a sleek 'pob' in the 2020s. So, basically, we trust her opinion on all things hair, style and beauty. Which is why we're particularly intrigued about a recent IG post of hers, where she weighs in on a hair mishap suffered by her hubbie David Beckham. In a video captioned "Dad what have you done?!?!😂😂 @davidbeckham", Victoria provided followers with some unique insight into the Beckham household. The video opens with David clutching his head, looking particularly sheepish, and blocking his DIY haircutting handiwork from view. "What have you done?" asks Victoria off-camera, as she stumbles upon the scene. "The head of the clippers fell off my head," David replies, still covering his head with one hand. Not taking no for an answer, Victoria is keen to get to the bottom of what's happened saying: "You were trying to give yourself a haircut, what have you done? Let me see..." David then raises his hand, putting his uneven buzz cut, and subsequent bald patch, on full display. Able to judge the hairstyle now it's properly in view, Victoria shares her prognosis. "It does not look good," she weighs in. "I'm going to always be honest with you - it looks terrible." Even in times of hair catastrophe, Victoria and David have soooo much chemistry that it gives us hope that we'll find true, lasting love (once we get over our last situationship, that is). (Photo by Lanna Apisukh/WWD via Getty Images) The ripped bob is everywhere right now — and for good reason. This edgy, piecey haircut has quickly become one of the biggest hair trends of the year. Its sharp ends and carefree shape make it ideal for creating soft, lived-in waves that feel modern and effortless. But achieving that soft wave look doesn't happen by accident — it's all about choosing the right products. (Photo by Samir Hussein/WireImage) Here are the best products to help you create soft waves in the ripped bob and maintain its chic, natural movement: Sea Salt Spray for Texture and Movement Soft waves start with a great sea salt or texturizing spray. These sprays add just enough grit and hold, allowing the hair to move naturally while enhancing its wave pattern. The best formulas balance salt with hydrating ingredients, so ends stay piecey — not parched. Try: Oribe Apres Beach Wave and Shine Spray or Bumble and bumble Surf Spray. Air-Dry Cream for Frizz-Free Finish For low-maintenance mornings, an air-dry cream is a must. These creamy formulas moisturize, define, and reduce frizz as hair dries naturally, making them ideal for making the most of your natural wave. Try: OUAI Wave Spray + Air Dry Foam or R+Co Cool Wind pH Perfect Air Dry Creme. Heat Protectant Serum for Polished Waves If you prefer to use a curling iron or wand, a heat protectant serum is an essential step. These products shield hair from damage and add luminous shine, making your ripped ends appear sharp and healthy. Try: GHD Bodyguard Heat Protect Spray or Kerastase L'Incroyable Blowdry Lotion. Wave Foam or Mousse for Defined Texture For those with naturally straight or fine hair, a wave-enhancing foam can help create long-lasting texture. Its airy consistency delivers soft, touchable body and is ideal for achieving that undone wave. Try: Moroccanoil Curl Control Mousse or Living Proof Full Thickening Mousse. Flexible-Hold Hairspray for Movement That Lasts To finish your look, mist a flexible-hold hairspray throughout the hair. The best sprays provide long-lasting hold while allowing movement — no stiff, helmet-like effect. Try: Oribe Superfine Strong Hair Spray or Amika Fluxus Touchable Hairspray. PARIS, FRANCE – MARCH 07: Aimee Song wears a white short shirt dress, a navy blue ribbed wool zipper cardigan from Miu Miu, a black nylon large pockets large belt from Miu Miu, black satin ballerinas from Miu Miu, a black embossed pattern handbag from Miu Miu , outside Miu Miu, during Paris Fashion Week – Womenswear Fall Winter 2023 2024, on March 07, 2023 in Paris, France. (Photo by) Final Tips for Perfect Ripped Bob Waves Apply wave sprays, creams, or mousses to damp hair for the best results. Scrunch as you dry to amplify natural wave patterns. Alternate wand sizes (1' and 1.25') when curling for a more lived-in, tousled effect. Focus on the ends to highlight the sharp, choppy edges of a ripped bob. Why the Right Products Matter The ripped bob is defined by its sharp angles and textured ends, making the right products critical for achieving its signature style. The goal is soft, natural movement that feels intentionally undone. By selecting formulas that hydrate, protect, and define, you can create a long-lasting style that captures the beauty of the ripped bob every time.

Julianne Moore Premieres ‘Sirens'—and Her Blunt New Bob

Julianne Moore just distilled every major hair trend of summer 2025 into one effortlessly chic haircut. The star debuted her new look at Netflix's global premiere of Sirens in New York City. Enter: The blunt bob. Moore has said goodbye to her signature long lengths to officially join Team Bob like this rest of the world of celebrity. Though Nicole Kidman's Met Gala crop was a fake-out, everyone from Keke Palme to Millie Bobby Brown have chopped their hair. The Sirens star's new look was crafted by Orlando Pita, the hairstylist you'll find getting the likes of Selena Gomez and Anne Hathaway red carpet ready, and coiffing Gigi Hadid's bob for the cover of Vogue. It complemented the elegant styling by Moore's go-to stylist Kate Young, who fitted her in an elegant Bottega Veneta black gown. Sleek, polished, and timeless, Moore's new hairstyle is the ultimate power cut for women over 60—the experts agree. 'The blunt bob is a sharp, straight-across style with no layers—it flatters nearly every face shape,' explains Juandiegoteo, hair designer and Redken ambassador. 'It's especially ideal for fine hair because it creates the illusion of volume. Plus, it's incredibly low-maintenance, air-dries beautifully, and can be tailored in both length and shape to suit your features.' When it comes to color, Javier Mateo, co-founder of THE LAB Beauty Studio, predicts a summer dominated by rich, radiant tones. 'Think copper, amber, and fiery orange—shades that feel bold yet warm, and pair perfectly with sunlit skin,' he shared in a recent trend forecast. Julianne Moore is the summer beauty muse we didn't know we needed.

Medium-Length Hairstyles To Look 10 Years Younger

Photo credit: Shutterstock Ready to give your hair a fresh start this summer? Let's face it: mid-length hair after 50 isn't going anywhere, and for good reason. It's timeless, flattering, and easy to style without looking stuck in a rut. If you want a hairstyle that's modern, fresh, and dynamic (without spending hours on upkeep), this is your season to shine. So, why is medium-length hair after 50 so appealing? For starters, it strikes the perfect balance: not too long or too short, which means it's versatile enough to play with volume, texture, and style. Plus, it gently softens facial features, lending a youthful, approachable vibe to anyone brave enough to try something new. This summer, the 'midi flick' is topping trend lists everywhere. If you haven't heard the buzz yet, stylist Tom Smith chatted with the team at Woman & Home to explain why this look is the ultimate age-defying move for those 50 and up. Midi Flick: The Go-To Cut for Youthful Style This style is basically a longer bob with slightly flicked, tapered ends, and it's designed to rejuvenate, not age. The midi flick sits around your collarbone, hugging the contours of your face. This instantly softens the jawline and lifts the head for a sophisticated, fresh look. It plays nicely with volume, which is key when you're aiming for youthful energy. Wondering how to style it? Tom Smith suggests wearing this cut with soft, tousled waves, which add movement. If you're blessed with natural curls, flaunt them because they really bring this style to life. Need a little more flair? Try a texturizing spray to give hair that modern, perfectly-imperfect finish. Photo credit: Shutterstock This summer, three chic medium-length bobs are making waves: the broom bob, the lifted bob, and the butterfly bob. Each offers a flattering update for different hair types and face shapes. The Broom Bob features a sleek, straight silhouette with slightly feathered ends that frame the face. Its clean structure adds polish while maintaining a natural flow. Ideal for a minimalist yet bold look, it delivers an instant glow-up with a sharp center or side part. The Lifted Bob brings volume and movement to the roots. This airy, tousled style creates a lifted effect, making facial features appear more defined and radiant. It's perfect for fine or limp hair that needs a boost. The Butterfly Bob, inspired by the butterfly haircut, blends soft layers around the face with a sculpted shape at the nape. Feminine and fresh, it offers a breezy boho twist that breaks away from traditional, rigid bobs. **Fini Le Carré Dégradé, La Coupe 'Midi Flick' Est La Coiffure Parfaite Pour Rajeunir De 10 Ans Après 50 Ans** This article first appeared on – Author: Ines Real topics: bob haircut, midi flick, beauty over 50, Hairstyles
