A call from a Good Samaritan has led to charges for two people.
The Ontario Provincial Police said a person called officers on Wednesday around 1:30 p.m. to report a suspicious person damaging hydro wires on Arkell Road in Puslinch Township.
When officers arrived, they found several telecommunication lines had been damaged or cut down.
Investigators said they tracked down two suspects to a nearby wooded area and recovered property related to the incident.
A 31-year-old man from Guelph and a 26-year-old woman of no fixed address have been charged with two counts of theft under $5,000, mischief over $5,000 and possession of break-in instruments.
