(Photo byfor iHeartMedia) 5 Seconds of Summer is on a bit of a break at the moment, though not an official one. The pop-rock group, which has now been together for more than a decade, hasn't released a new full-length for almost three years. In the meantime, three of the four members have dropped solo projects, and the fourth is expected to do so very soon. This week in the United States, Calum Hood scores his first success under his own name, showing that his fanbase is strong, just like the group's. Order Chaos Order Debuts on Three Billboard Charts Hood's first solo release Order Chaos Order debuts on a trio of Billboard rankings this frame. It opens inside the top 10 on two of them, launching at No. 5 on the Vinyl Albums list and No. 8 on the Top Album Sales tally. The Australian singer-songwriter's first full-length under his own name was purchased by 8,300 people in the U.S. in just its first seven days of availability (per Luminate). Calum Hood's Modest Performance on the Billboard 200 Order Chaos Order doesn't perform nearly as well on the Billboard 200 as on the sales-focused lists, as it opens at No. 179 on that all-encompassing tally. Looking at total consumption, the full-length moved 9,100 equivalent units, with almost all of those being purchases, as the title didn't make much of an impact on streaming platforms. The Second 5SOS Member to Hit the Billboard 200 Hood is just the second member of 5 Seconds of Summer to land on the Billboard 200. The group's lead vocalist Luke Hemmings became the first to do so when his project When Facing the Things We Turn Away From reached No. 124 on the all-encompassing roster. He doubled up on the tally in April of last year, when his EP Boy brought him to the upper half of the Billboard 200 for the first time. Ashton Irwin, the band's drummer, has delivered two solo albums — Superbloom and Blood on the Drums — but neither made much of an impact in the U.S. Next month, Michael Clifford, the lead guitarist from the pop-punk outfit, will drop Side Quest, his first offering on his own, and he may join his bandmates on the Billboard 200 later this summer.
