We're raising our price targets on 5 stocks — and cutting our outlook on another

Every weekday, the CNBC Investing Club with Jim Cramer releases the Homestretch — an actionable afternoon update, just in time for the last hour of trading on Wall Street. Markets: The S & P 500 is rallying to a new record high on Friday, though the index came off its best levels of the day after President Donald Trump said on Truth Social that he has ended trade talks with Canada due to concerns about digital services taxes on U.S. tech companies. Still, it has been an exceptional week for the broader market. As tensions in the Middle East eased, oil prices plunged, interest rates declined, and stocks surged. Some of the biggest winners this week were in tech and AI -infrastructure related stocks. But the financials had an impressive week, too. We'll see the results of the Fed's annual stress test later Friday. Some Wall Street analysts expect Club name Wells Fargo to be among the biggest winners . Price target changes: We're making a handful of changes to our price targets on portfolio stocks. Apple : We are lowering our price target to $240 a share from $280 to reflect some of our recent concerns that a demand pull-forward from people buying iPhones ahead of tariffs could moderate sales in the quarters ahead. We've also expressed frustration about how Apple is allocating too much capital to stock buybacks, when those funds could be more effectively used to accelerate its lagging AI initiatives. Capital One Financial : We are increasing our price target to $250 from $210. As we talked about on Friday's Morning Meeting, the stock still trades at a huge discount to peer American Express , and maybe it shouldn't since Capital One now also operates a closed-loop network – meaning it issues its own cards and runs its own payment network, just like American Express. Based on 2026 earnings per share estimates, Capital One is trading at an 11 multiple while AXP trades at 18. We're not arguing for parity, necessarily. But if Capital One re-rates to 13 times earnings, still a five-turn discount to American Express, as it proves the benefits of the Discover deal, then we're talking about stock trading at about $250 based on the consensus earnings per share estimate of $19.32. CrowdStrike : We are nudging up our price target to $520 from $500. This higher price target reflects the higher price-to-earning multiple the best of breed cybersecurity companies continue to deserve in the market. Although we are raising our price target, we remain mindful of the run the stock has had this year. This was the main reason why we trimmed this position earlier in the week. GE Vernova : We are increasing our price target to $550 from $500. GE Vernova's valuation may look stretched, but the stock keeps powering higher due to the heavy investment needed to power AI data centers around the world. The robust demand for the company's gas turbines and electric grid solutions should translate to strong pricing power for many years. The company remains a potential winner from future trade deals and should benefit from the Trump administration's push to boost energy supply to power AI. Goldman Sachs : We are increasing our price to $725 from $615. We continue to see Goldman Sachs as one of the biggest beneficiaries of an improving initial public offering market, as well as an increase in mergers-and-acquisitions activity. The big banks could also get a boost from looser regulations , as we wrote Thursday. Meta Platforms : We are raising our price target to $800 from $700. A pair of separate bullish analysts raised their Meta price target above $800 this week, and we want to be right there with them because the social media giant has been one of the best at using AI to generate more revenue. Next week: There are no companies in the portfolio scheduled to report earnings next week. On the data side, it will be a jobs-week, which means we'll see the ADP employment report Wednesday morning, as well as the all-important nonfarm payroll report. The jobs report will be on Thursday, not the usual Friday, because the market is closed on July 4 in observation of Independence Day. A few other key data reports are the Institute for Supply Management's manufacturing and services activity indexes for the month of June. (See here for a full list of the stocks in Jim Cramer's Charitable Trust.) As a subscriber to the CNBC Investing Club with Jim Cramer, you will receive a trade alert before Jim makes a trade. Jim waits 45 minutes after sending a trade alert before buying or selling a stock in his charitable trust's portfolio. If Jim has talked about a stock on CNBC TV, he waits 72 hours after issuing the trade alert before executing the trade. 'Classic vaporware': Trump Organization drops ‘made in US' claim for T1 phone as analysts point to China production

The Trump Organization announced its cellular brand called T1 earlier this month, heavily emphasising that the devices would be 'made in the USA", keeping in line with Trump administration policies. Now, just 10 days later, the company is silently erasing those claims. This shift comes following analysts' consensus that the phones are likely to be produced in China. The official website for the T1 phone has removed all languages which indicated the phone would be manufactured in the US. Now the website uses more ambiguous phrasing, stating the phone was "designed with American values in mind' and 'brought to life right here in the USA,' Fortune reported. Beyond the manufacturing claims, The Verge reported that the T1 phone's specifications have also been scaled back since it was introduced. The screen is now smaller, having been reduced from 6.78 inches to 6.25 inches, and all information about RAM has also been removed. Furthermore, while the phones were initially promised to be released in September, the company has since adjusted that language to read 'later this year'. Despite these changes, the subscribers are still required to pay $100 up front for the device, the news agency said. Scepticism about Trump Mobile's claims emerged almost immediately upon its announcement. Todd Weaver, CEO of Purism, the only company currently producing a US-made smartphone, told Fortune, 'As someone who's spent over a decade building a secure, privacy-first smartphone, focusing on manufacturing in the US, and I can say this with confidence: Producing a fully US-made phone isn't something you spin up overnight.' 'If the Trump phone is promising a $499 price tag with domestic manufacturing, this announcement looks to be classic vaporware.' Purism's phone costs $650 to produce and retails for $2,000. US President Donald Trump has been an avid proponent of reshoring US manufacturing, using tariffs as leverage to convince companies to build plants in the US and attacking Apple for manufacturing its iPhones in Asia, the news agency reported.

How to share your Wi-Fi password across iPhones, Androids and other devices

Whether you're setting up a new device or helping a friend connect to your home network, sharing your Wi-Fi password doesn't need to be a hassle. Today's smartphones make it easy to share access without typing (or needing to remember) long strings of characters. Both iPhones and Android devices support features that let you send your Wi-Fi password quickly and securely, but the steps can vary depending on the devices involved. Of course, you can still go into your Wi-Fi settings to view your password and show it to your guest or copy and paste it into a group chat. But the methods outlined here avoid having to tell anyone what your long, complicated password might be and are generally more secure. Below are the most reliable ways to share Wi-Fi passwords between iPhones, between Androids and across mobile platforms. Apple has built-in functionality to simplify Wi-Fi sharing between its own devices that was introduced in iOS 11. This feature works on iPhones, iPads and Macs provided they're running the latest versions of iOS, iPadOS or macOS. Before you start: Make sure both devices are running the latest software. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth should be turned on for both devices. Personal Hotspot should be turned off. The Apple ID email address of the person you're sharing the password with must be saved in your Contacts. To share your Wi-Fi password: Unlock both iPhones. Ensure both devices are physically near each other. On the receiving iPhone, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and select the same Wi-Fi network. A pop-up will appear on the sender's iPhone asking if you'd like to share the password. Tap Share Password. Once the password is sent, tap Done. The receiving device will automatically connect to the Wi-Fi network without needing to type in the password manually. While Apple devices don't natively support sharing Wi-Fi passwords with Android phones, there are still a couple of effective workarounds using QR codes. The most user-friendly approach is to create a QR code that an Android phone can scan to connect to the Wi-Fi network. Option 1: Create a QR code using the Shortcuts app If you're using iOS 17 or later, you can build a shortcut to generate a QR code that contains your Wi-Fi credentials. Open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone. Tap the + button to create a new shortcut. Select Add Action, then choose Text. In the text box, enter your Wi-Fi credentials using the following format: WIFI:S:NetworkName;T:WPA;P:Password;; Replace NetworkName with your Wi-Fi network name and Password with your actual password. Tap Add Action again and search for Generate QR Code. Add a final action: Quick Look, which displays the generated code. Run the shortcut. The QR code will appear on your screen. Ask the Android user to scan the QR code using their camera app or a QR scanner. This should automatically connect their device to your Wi-Fi network. Option 2: Use a third-party QR code generator Alternatively, you can use an online tool like to create a QR code. Open your preferred browser and visit the QR generator website. Enter your Wi-Fi network name (SSID), security type and password. Generate the QR code. Display the QR code on your iPhone. Let the Android device scan the code to connect. While not as seamless as iPhone-to-iPhone sharing, both methods are secure and help you avoid typing long passwords manually. Most Android phones running Android 10 or later allow users to share Wi-Fi credentials through a QR code. This works well for sharing passwords with other Android devices and iPhones. Open the Settings app on your Android phone. Tap Network & Internet (or Connections, depending on your phone model). Select Wi-Fi, then tap the name of the connected network. Tap the Share or QR code icon. You may be prompted to verify your identity with a PIN or fingerprint. A QR code will appear. The iPhone user can scan the QR code using the Camera app or the built-in Code Scanner (found in Control Center). Once scanned, the iPhone will automatically prompt you to connect to the network. Avoid sending Wi-Fi passwords over text or unsecured messaging apps. Use QR codes or password-sharing features when possible to reduce typing errors. If using a public or guest network, consider setting up a separate SSID and password to keep your main network private. Always update your devices to the latest operating system to ensure compatibility and security. If you're having trouble sharing your Wi-Fi password: Double-check that both devices have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on. Restart both devices and try again. Ensure both devices are unlocked and close to each other. Make sure contact details are up to date and the correct Apple ID is saved. For QR code scanning issues, check that the recipient is using a compatible QR code reader. iPhones can scan codes using the Camera app, while most Android devices have built-in scanners or third-party apps available.

Apple iPhone 17 Air: Did Apple Just Accidentally Leak A Key Design Detail?

Apple recently released its second developer beta of the next iPhone software, iOS 26. It's what the iPhone 17 series will run on when the handsets are released. But it looks like Apple has given something away about one of the new phones, perhaps by mistake. Has Apple just revealed what the display on the iPhone 17 "Air" will look like? As spotted by Macworld, deep in the code for the latest developer beta is a new version of the popular clownfish iPhone wallpaper. So what, you might say, that's nothing new. Except this one is. The new wallpaper has 'a resolution of '420×912@3x,' or 1260×2736 pixels. There's no iPhone model with such a resolution, at least not yet,' the report pointed out. That's pretty clear that one of the iPhones in development will have this all-new screen size, which ties in perfectly with the reports that have leaked about the super-slim iPhone in development, nicknamed iPhone 17 Air. 'The new resolution wallpaper we found matches a report by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo last year, which claimed that the iPhone 17 Air would have a screen of around 6.6 inches with a resolution of approximately 1260×2740. In other words, the wallpaper all but confirms the existence of a new iPhone model with that exact display resolution. Given that iOS 26 will almost certainly be released in September along with the new iPhones, it's clear that Apple is already making the final adjustments for the next-generation iPhone,' Macworld explained. The publication even suggests the new wallpaper was left in the beta entirely by accident: 'Since other iOS 26 wallpapers don't have that resolution, most likely the wallpaper was forgotten by Apple within the build released today for developers and shouldn't be seen by the public,' it said. Well, the truth is you never know with Apple. Could they have planted it in the beta to get everyone talking? Personally, I adhere to the cock-up theory of history rather than the conspiracy one, but who knows? The Prompt: Get the week's biggest AI news on the buzziest companies and boldest breakthroughs, in your Subscribed! You're Subscribed! If it vanishes when the third beta is released, it may indicate a mistake. Either way, it seems to double down on the belief that the iPhone 17 Air will have a 6.6-inch display, which is good to know.
