DHS: Several criminal illegal aliens deported to South Sudan after delays from 'activist judges'

Eight criminal illegal aliens were deported to South Sudan on Independence Day, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced Saturday, after what it called "weeks of delays by activist judges" that left ICE officers stranded and at risk. "These sickos were finally deported to South Sudan on Independence Day," Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement. "After weeks of delays by activist judges that put our law enforcement in danger, ICE deported these eight barbaric criminal illegal aliens who are so heinous even their own countries will not accept them." The deportation effort had been blocked by a series of lower court rulings, which the Supreme Court overturned July 3, granting the Trump administration's motion to enforce its third-country removal policy. The eight men had been held in Djibouti as legal challenges played out. According to DHS, the eight men had extensive and violent criminal histories. Enrique Arias-Hierro, a Cuban national, was convicted of homicide, armed robbery, kidnapping and impersonating a law enforcement officer. Jose Manuel Rodriguez-Quinones, also from Cuba, was convicted of attempted first-degree murder with a weapon, battery, larceny and drug trafficking. Thongxay Nilakout, a Laotian national, was convicted of first-degree murder and robbery and sentenced to life in prison. Jesus Munoz-Gutierrez, from Mexico, was convicted of second-degree murder and also sentenced to life confinement. Dian Peter Domach, a South Sudanese national, had convictions for robbery, multiple gun offenses and driving under the influence. Kyaw Mya of Burma was convicted of lascivious acts with a child under the age of 12 and served part of a 10-year sentence. Nyo Myint, also from Burma, was convicted of first-degree sexual assault involving a mentally and physically incapacitated victim and faced additional charges of aggravated assault. Tuan Thanh Phan, a Vietnamese national, was convicted of first-degree murder and second-degree assault and sentenced to 22 years. "These are not just immigration cases," McLaughlin said. "These are threats to American communities that judges tried to force ICE to return to the United States." DHS credited the Supreme Court's clarification order for breaking the logjam and allowing ICE to complete the mission. "This was a win for the rule of law, safety and security of the American people," its statement said. DHS also thanked ICE officers who had been stranded abroad during the court-imposed pause. "We thank our brave ICE law enforcement for their sacrifice to defend our freedoms," McLaughlin said. "We will continue to fight for the freedoms of Americans while these far-left activists continue to try and force us to bring murderers, pedophiles and rapists back to the U.S."The White House did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

Report: Trump's ICE crackdown continues despite LA riots

President Donald Trump 's ICE continues to arrest criminal illegal aliens as protests and riots have engulfed Los Angeles. Over 160 anti-ICE protestors have been arrested in LA since Friday, according to local authorities, many for failure to disperse, and at least one - a Mexican national illegally in the U.S. - for attempted murder after throwing a Molotov cocktail at law enforcement. There have been hundreds of illegal aliens arrested in LA since the protest broke out on June 6, a source familiar with operations told the Daily Mail. Skirmishes between protestors wearing face masks and police draped in riot gear have percolated online for days. So have clips of looting, burnt out cars and mass protests. Clips show agitators pelting law enforcement and their vehicles with rocks - some of which shatter windshields, others slamming into agent's heads. Trump has repeatedly spoken out on the unrest, often ripping California Gov. Gavin Newsom and LA Mayor Karen Bass for losing control of the frequently violent street protests. 'The incompetent Governor of California was unable to provide protection in a timely manner when our ICE officers, great patriots they are, were attacked by an out of control mob of agitators, troublemakers, and/or insurrectionists,' Trump wrote on social media Wednesday morning. Despite the stand offs with rioters, Newsom and Bass, the White House said deportation operations in LA are continuing. 'The Trump Administration will fulfill the President's promise to deport illegal aliens and no one – not even violent left-wing rioters – will get in the way of our mission,' White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson told the Daily Mail. 'ICE is arresting illegal aliens and will continue to do so all around the country no matter what radical liberals do, the safety of the American people depends on it,' she told the Daily Mail in a statement. The White House has claimed that Newsom is working directly against the president. That comes despite Trump and Newsom speaking on Saturday for at least 16 minutes about the ongoing riots - a conversation confirmed after Trump posted a screen shot of his call with the governor. Still, the Republican and Democrat have been locking horns, and Trump has continued to lambast Newsom's leadership all week. The White House is now sending the message that regardless of what Newsom or the protestors think, ICE operations will continue. 'Radical liberal rioters, enabled by weak politicians like Gavin Newsom, are using violence to try and stop the American people's agenda from being implemented. It won't work,' Jackson told the Daily Mail. 'In November, the American people gave President Trump a mandate: deportations.' And according to migrant arrest data exclusively provided to the Daily Mail, ICE's Los Angeles team is continuing to act on the president's orders. The rap sheets of five criminal aliens arrested Tuesday in LA were shared exclusively with the Daily Mail. It includes Hondurans Carlos Alberto Escobar-Flores, 43, whose criminal history includes a conviction for grand theft; and Jose Jimenez-Alvarado, who was convicted for felony theft, according to the White House. Mexican national Jesus Romero-Retana, 52, a man convicted for battery and intent to terrorize, was also apprehended by ICE on Tuesday, the White House revealed.

ICE arrests illegal aliens previously released in 'sanctuary' Massachusetts

EXCLUSIVE: ICE has arrested more illegal aliens from Massachusetts after the state's sanctuary policies led to their release into communities. Some of these individuals were convicted of serious charges, including solicitation to commit murder and assault and battery. "Despite sanctuary politicians and activists trying to disrupt ICE operations, our brave law enforcement removed gang members, drug traffickers, and other violent criminals from Massachusetts' streets. Some of these arrests included criminal aliens who were released by local authorities because of radical sanctuary policies," said DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. "These sanctuary politicians are playing Russian roulette with American lives. While Massachusetts leaders release criminal aliens onto America's streets, President Trump and Secretary Noem are arresting them and getting them out of our country." One of the arrests includes an illegal migrant convicted for soliciting to commit murder. On May 5, 2025, ICE arrested Kleber Lasso an illegal alien from Ecuador. On July 24, 2018, Lasso was convicted of soliciting to commit murder and sentenced to only 1 year in jail. Brockton District Court failed to honor ICE's detainer and released this criminal back onto Massachusetts' streets, according to DHS. The Brockton court had no comment for Fox News Friday. "Massachusetts court officials do not have the legal authority and are therefore prohibited from holding an individual in custody solely on the basis of a Federal Civil Immigration Detainer," a Massachusetts court spokesperson told Fox News. "In order to comply with Massachusetts law, court officers are prohibited from assisting or interfering with ICE agents in executing their obligations under Federal law," the spokesperson said. "This means that a court officer will not interfere with ICE arresting an individual who has been released. On the other hand, court officers are prohibited from keeping a released individual in custody awaiting an ICE agent." On May 7, 2025, ICE arrested Senat Dufren, an illegal alien from Haiti, in Waltham, Massachusetts. He was previously arrested in Roxbury, Massachusetts, for assault and battery and malicious destruction of property. ICE lodged an immigration detainer with the Nashua Street Jail. Local authorities did not honor the detainer and released Dufren. He is accused of later victimizing more innocent Americans – including a pregnant woman. He was then arrested again on Feb. 19, 2025, and charged with assault and battery on a pregnant victim, assault and battery on family/household, and assault and battery. According to DHS, on May 10, 2025, ICE arrested Lusbel Lopez Feliz, an illegal alien from the Dominican Republic. Lopez has faced several criminal charges throughout Massachusetts, including seven charges for distributing heroin/fentanyl and five different arraignments for distributing cocaine. Her detainer was not honored by local authorities following a previous arrest, and she was released into the community.
