Police appeal for witnesses after man pulls down pants in park: YRP

Police in Newmarket released images of a man accused of committing an indecent act in front of two youths at a park earlier this month. York Regional Police allege the man confronted two youths and pulled down his pants before he committed an indecent act on June 6 around 6:45 p.m. in the forested area of Ken Sturgeon Park, near Lockwood Circle and Damascus Court. He is described as a west Asian man, 25 to 30 years old, with a slim build and dark hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt and grey shorts and carried a green vape. Police urge anyone who was in the park at the time and witnessed the incident to come forward.

A male has been charged and arrested after committing an indecent act in front of a convenience store. Police responded to the incident on June 21 at 5:25 p.m. in the area of Indian Road and Confederation Street. The 48-year-old man was reported as standing near the front entrance, holding a knife and exposing his genitals to customers. A search revealed a folded pocket knife. The suspect has been held on bail and charged with indecent act and fail to comply with probation. He had previously been placed on probation in April, with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

Ontario Provincial Police say they received several reports at approximately 8 a.m. Thursday for an individual who was 'exposing themselves and performing an indecent act' in the area of Mary Street. Officers arrested an individual at the scene. Police say the suspect is facing charges of indecent act – public place, and failure to comply with an undertaking. The suspect is scheduled to appear in Pembroke court on July 29.

Police have released images of a man they want to speak to in connection with two indecent acts in a coffee Police say a man committed an indecent act in both a Costa Coffee on Gravesend's High Street and a Coffee Republic on New Road on 27 May. A girl also reported she was approached in the same Costa Coffee by a man behaving suspiciously shortly before she left the cafe to meet friends. Officers believe the two incidents are connected and are asking anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image to come forward as he may have relevant information.
