Brit woman, 43, killed on jet ski in horror crash with speedboat driven by ‘drunk' friend in Costa Del Sol
A BRIT woman has been killed in a jet ski accident in Spain's Costa del Sol. The 43-year-old is believed to have tragically died on the scene after being hit by a speedboat driven by her intoxicated friend, according to police. 1 Police said she was being driven by a friend who failed a breath test after the fatal crash at a beach called Los Toros - just west of the popular holiday resort of Estepona. A spokesperson for the Civil Guard in Malaga said: 'I can confirm the dead woman is a 43-year-old British national. 'She was a passenger on the jet ski.' A police source said: 'The jet ski was being driven by her partner. They appear to have been hit from behind by a friend at the wheel of a speedboat. 'He failed a breath test after the collision so he's likely to have been arrested but that is not something I can confirm at this stage.' is your go-to destination for the best celebrity news, real-life stories, jaw-dropping pictures and must-see video. Debris flies toward 3 Pontiac children after pickup truck strikes their apartment
Three children had to climb out of a window to escape after a pickup truck crashed into the front door of their apartment in Pontiac, Michigan, sending debris flying their way. The crash happened at about 12:20 a.m. Saturday on Firelite Lane near Cherry Hill Drive. The children — a 13-year-old girl and two 10-year-old boys — were in the living room when the 2018 Chevrolet Silverado smashed into the building, according to the report from Oakland County Sheriff's Office. As deputies were en route to the scene, officers were told the Silverado driver was running away while carrying a dog. The children had just gone to the apartment to pick up some personal items and were planning to return momentarily to a babysitter's home across the street at the time of the crash. Because the truck crashed through the front door and front window of the apartment, they had to break out another window and climb out that way to get out. The three "suffered minor scrapes from flying debris," the report said, but were treated at the scene. In the meantime, a crowd of people pointed deputies to a woman who was, by that time, being held by a security guard as the driver in the incident. That woman, a 36-year-old Pontiac resident, was taken to the hospital for a check on possible injuries. In the meantime, the woman denied she was the driver of the vehicle. Deputies said she was arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, but was released from custody pending toxicology tests.

Monroe driver arrested after her vehicle struck mailboxes, construction sign
A large orange construction sign was found lodged into the side of a car when officers in Monroe, Michigan, checked on a motorist who was driving erratically in the city. The call to Monroe County Central Dispatch was made about 9:35 a.m. Saturday on the report of a light blue vehicle driving erratically in the area of North Macomb Street and Cole Road, on the north side of the city. The Monroe Police Department said while its officers were en route, another caller reported that a vehicle with a similar description had just damaged multiple mailboxes. When police arrived, they found two damaged mailboxes in the 1200 block of North Macomb Street. They then found the vehicle parked about three blocks away, in the 1500 block, with flattened tires and "significant damage, including a large orange construction sign lodged in the passenger side," the report said. The driver was a 40-year-old woman who lived in the Monroe area. "Upon speaking with her, officers noted that she could not recall the events leading up to the incident," the report said. After a field sobriety evaluation, the driver was arrested on a charge that she was intoxicated. Police also found crack cocaine, powder cocaine, unknown pills, and narcotics paraphernalia in the vehicle. "Driving under the influence is never worth the risk. Incidents like this are a reminder of how quickly things can go wrong. We're grateful to the alert witnesses who stepped up and contacted authorities," the report said.
