Love Island fans claim producers stepped in as Dejon makes ‘calculated apology' to Yasmin after kissing challenge
LOVE Island fans are claiming producers stepped in as Dejon made a 'calculated apology' to Yasmin after last night's kissing challenge. After much backlash online following his harsh score for Yasmin during the kissing challenge, Dejon pulled her for a chat and attempted to clear the air. 4 He said: 'In that moment in time, I just wasn't in the right headspace. And I feel like I denied you that opportunity.' Yasmin replied: 'For me it was more so in the challenge. You gave me a zero. I would've had more respect if you'd have said something like, 'I didn't kiss her out of respect for Meg and we're exclusive,' but you kind of made out like it was me.' Dejon tried to defend himself, saying: 'I was just making jokes, I didn't think anyone would take it seriously.' But Yasmin wasn't having it: 'It sounded like it was on me, that's why it got my back up a little bit.' Dejon eventually backtracked: 'I was just joking, but if you took it offensively I apologise.' Yasmin ended the chat with: 'I hope that pasta was good though.' However, the apology didn't land well with viewers — many of whom felt the moment was staged. One fan posted on X, formerly Twitter, 'Meg and Dejon is propaganda I am seriously not falling for love island producers x' Another wrote: 'dejon and harry are terrifying. it's really uncomfortable to watch them be so casually disrespectful and unaware of their behaviour." And a third added: 'Dejon is very very calculated. Even how he has reflected and used the very things he knows the public voted them down for… Byeeee." Love Island shock as superstar rapper performs for cast at surprise Love Island festival party A fourth viewer fumed: 'love island producers - 'even the stupid people are starting to realise dejon isn't a nice guy, let's get him to say sorry and then we will send him on a date straight after, these reform fiat 500 idiots will love it' 'oh and make him mention men's mental health'." And another simply concluded: 'love island producers can try all they want i will never like dejon and his mug." Love Island's annual Snogathon created some serious divisions between the Islanders this year. The lads were blindfolded, wearing headphones, while the girls make their way down the line and smooch each of them in turn. The boys then rated each snog out of ten, leading to inevitable jealousies erupting. Yasmin was not only upset over Dejon's feedback, but also Jamie getting handsy with the other girls. 'What the f*** am I watching?' she exclaimed, clearly unimpressed. Love Island continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX. 4 4 4

‘Get them out' rage Love Island fans as they slam couple ‘only in there for the £50k'
LOVE Island fans have been left raging over one couple in particular, saying they're 'only in there for the £50k.' Viewers have found themselves increasingly frustrated with Dejon and Meg's behaviour on the show. 5 5 And even more so after the recent kissing challenge, which saw Love Island fans brand Dejon as 'rude' for the way he spoke to the girls. Dejon was far from engaged with the game - as he brutally dished out low scores and harsh comments. Then, later in the episode, Yasmin tried to pull Dejon for a chat to address his behaviour in the challenge, but was ultimately coldly rebuffed. Horrified fans are now begging for Dejon and Meg, who are coupled up and exclusive, to be booted off the show. On social media, one person penned: 'They just ruin the vibe of the villa. It's more than just the kissing challenge. He thinks he's sooooo amazing. Shutting that convo down with Yasmin was crazy, he could have shown some humility and accepted he went a bit far.' Another person wrote: 'No chemistry whatsoever. Horrible fake couple. Get them out.' And a third penned: 'Awful couple. They need to go as soon as possible.' Someone else echoed: 'The way Meg cries about Dejon makes it seem real to me. Dejon on the other hand, wants that money so BAD AND I WANT HIS PLAN TO BE FOILED.' A lot of fans are under the impression that Dejon is doing all he can to make it to the final, and have speculated that he and Meg are just in it for the money. Someone wrote: 'They legitimately think they're going to win it,' and another viewer added: 'He looks bored around Meg and I don't know what either of them are seeing in each other (other than a potential £50K).' Elsewhere, Jamie, Emma and Cach discussed the awkward moment between Yasmin and Dejon, and don't seem to be his biggest fans either. Emma said: "He does this, this is who he is. Let him show who his true colours are." It's not the first time viewers have been left outraged by either Dejon or Meg's behaviour. Last week, OG blonde Meg watched as Irish stunner Andrada left the ITV2 dating show - and made a final 'mean girl' comment. Islanders learnt the shock news that Ben and Andrada were leaving. And Meg shouted 'Love you Ben' as they were saying goodbye, but said nothing about Andrada. Fans noted on X: "The way Meg said 'We love you Ben' and didn't include Andrada..." A second agreed: "I know the type of girl Meg is… shouting we love you Ben when Andrada is also leaving... I know who you are." "Meg is such a BITTER BITTER person. 'We love you Ben!' Actually we love Andrada too thanks," corrected a third. "'We love you Ben', oh my god get Meg OUT! Such a b**ch completely excluding Andrada," moaned a fan. "Meg shouting 'we love you Ben' and saying nothing about Andrada," clocked a fifth. Love Island airs on ITV2 and ITVX. 5 5
