Car targeted in apparent Israeli strike in area close to capital Beirut
A car was struck in Lebanon on the Khalde highway close to the capital Beirut in an apparent Israeli strike, local media report.
Social media videos showed a blue Hyundai car nearly destroyed. A video on social media also showed the car stopping on the side of the road and people exiting the car just seconds before being struck.
The Khalde highway, south of Beirut, is one the vital roads in Lebanon and is the entrance to and towards Beirut from the south.
