A magnitude 5.5 quake hits southwestern Japan
The Japan Meteorological Agency says a magnitude 5.5 quake occurred in Kagoshima Prefecture at 3:26 PM Wednesday local time. It had an intensity of lower 5 on the Japanese scale of 0 to 7. The JMA says there is no tsunami threat.

June 29 (Reuters) - A magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck Pakistan, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) said on Sunday. The quake was at a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles), GFZ said.
