A man has been arrested in a shopping mall in the 1200 block of St. Mary's Road who was in possession of a handgun, ammunition, a knife and cocaine.
Police said on June 30 around 7:15 p.m., officers from the East District responded to a report of a man seen with a firearm at the shopping centre.
Police would not confirm the name of the shopping mall.
A mall employee originally saw the man placing a gun into his satchel and mall security was alerted. Police said the mall security kept a safe eye on the suspect until they arrived.
No threats were made and nobody was injured, according to police.
A 35-year-old man was arrested and charged with multiple offences, including possessing a firearm and carrying a concealed weapon.
He was also charged for possession of cocaine, which police said amounted to 2.59 grams.
