France's Tally of Negative Power Prices Just Beat the 2024 Total
French power prices have traded below zero for more hours this year than during all of 2024, reducing returns for investors in power generation. As of Monday morning, Europe's second biggest power market has had 363 hours of negative prices this year, according to a Bloomberg analysis of EPEX Spot SE data. Neighboring markets like Germany and Spain have also seen record numbers for the season.

Worldline Sheds Over $400 Million in Market Value After Reports of Fraud Coverup
French fintech company Worldline WLN -35.05%decrease; red down pointing triangle lost more than $400 million after several media outlets alleged the group covered up fraud by some customers to shield its own revenue. Worldline shares in Paris slumped nearly 35%, wiping out more than 355 million euros ($412.2 million) in market value, according to FactSet data. The group's market value stood at roughly 944.6 million euros in Wednesday afternoon trade.

French Power Price Plunges Below Zero as Solar Floods the Grid
French day-ahead power tumbled below zero for the first time since July last year as solar generation this weekend is set to overwhelm the grid. The daily average settled at €-1.05 a megawatt-hour in an auction on the Epex Spot SE exchange in Paris. It's the lowest level among all the major markets in Europe.
