'Clair Obscur: Expedition 33' is being hailed as a masterpiece in storytelling, which makes lead writer Jennifer Svedberg-Yen's path in video games all the more unusual. The California native is a first-time writer, having spent most of her career as a private equity investor. She retired in 2015 to chase other interests.
