Fans were mighty impressed with his singing, reminding many of his character Rahul Jaykar from Aashiqui 2. Aditya Roy Kapur On His Singing Debut Meanwhile, earlier, Aditya shared that while he has sung privately for his friends, this marks his official singing debut in a film. The decision to sing happened naturally due to the musical format of the film, and it turned out well, offering fans a fresh experience of seeing him sing on screen. 'The one thing that the fans might discover that they've never seen before is that I'm singing for the first time, I've always sung but more for myself and my friends. I've never sang officially in a film so this is going to be the first time that I'm singing in the movie and it happened quite organically actually. Because the format of the film is musical, Dada wanted me to come in and give it a shot and it seemed like it's stuck and it worked out so that's definitely a new thing for the fans to see me sing on the screen and that's going to be fun," he said. Music plays a central role in this film, and Aditya's choice to sing was not pre-planned but happened 'organically.' Directed by Anurag Basu, 'Metro…In Dino' features an ensemble cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, Konkona Sensharma, Anupam Kher, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, and Saswata Chatterjee. The film will release in cinemas on July 4, 2025. First Published:
