Luckily, some fun micro trends have emerged so you can add a few new tweaks to your existing outfits without spending a fortune. ★ Say hello, again, to lace A big hit in the 1990s, lace-trimmed silk skirts and cami tops are back – and such easy pieces to style. Pop a lacy cami under your blazer or team a T-shirt or linen shirt with lace-detail shorts. For a dressier option, wear with a summer cardigan with a lace-trimmed skirt and kitten heels. Check out Intimissimi (see below), Mango and Massimo Dutt i for great pieces. ★ Meet the multitasking scarf Wear a large one around your waist, layered over the top of trousers or a skirt like the Instagram fashion crowd. Or style a long one as a sarong, hang a short one on your bag, wrap one around your head as a boho sun hat… the possibilities are endless. ★ Unleash your inner pearly queen Pearls have always been a symbol of wealth and associated with an 'old money' style – think 50s housewives or Jackie O. Last year, a small strand would have worked but this summer pearls are big, garish and proudly fake. ★ Rock the humble flip-flop The It-sandal of the summer is probably one you've already got. Happy days! Yes, there's the upscale faux-croc pair by Toteme or the semi-transparent ones by Christopher Esber but a simple pair of Havaianas will look as sleek. Just ensure they're comfy before buying – I got very excited with some by The Row in the Selfridges sale, then found they were way too heavy on my feet. ★ Reach for red It's the colour of the season and dresses and tailored pieces in the shade are proving extremely popular for weddings, garden parties or cocktails by the pool. Farm Rio (see below), Posse and Massimo Dutti all have fabulous red dresses. ★ Team boho frills with suede I'm loving a suede shirt worn with a white ruffled skirt, which looks especially fabulous against a summer tan. Dôen, The Frankie Shop and Free People are the places to shop the look. @thestylistandthewardrobe @youmagazine ACE LACE MOVE Get in on summer's renewed love for lace with this pretty silk-satin camisole top (above). Slip it under a linen blazer or layer it beneath a summer V-neck knit. Lace-trimmed cami top £59 Shop VA-VA BLOOM Not just made from beautiful broderie anglaise and boasting 3D flowers on the straps, this linen-blend midi is in right-on-trend red. It's gone straight on my vacation wish list. Embellished broderie anglaise linen-blend midi dress £370 Shop SPOTTED French actress Marion Cotillard (above) is bringing a little je ne sais quoi to the fourth series of Apple TV's hit The Morning Show, which starts in September. Playing Celine Dumont, a savvy operator from a distinguished European family, her onscreen wardrobe is full of tailored pieces by brands including Max Mara and Bottega Veneta. Can't wait.

Hailey Bieber Effortlessly Styled Three of Summer's Biggest Trends in One Outfit

Getty Leave it to Hailey Bieber, our undisputed Queen of Trends, to style three of this summer's most popular (and most controversial) micro-trends and make it look effortless. On June 21st, the Rhode Skin founder was photographed in New York City wearing polka dots, skinny capris, and heeled flip-flops to create the most specifically summer-of-2025 outfit ever devised by influencer or stylist. The hero piece of the outfit is clearly the white capri leggings with their oversized black polka dot pattern from Paloma Wool. Bieber has been leading the capri pants vanguard, which made a triumphant return to mainstream fashion after most of us thought they'd gone the way of the gaucho. Capris—specifically styles like this that hug the thigh and end just below the knee—last had their moment in the sun in the mid-2000s. Now, they have been embraced by everyone from Emma Stone to Bella Hadid to Meghan Markle. Polka dots are, obviously, not nearly as controversial a fashion choice as capris, but the pattern is also having a trendy moment of its own. Celebs like Sydney Sweeney and Kaia Gerber have both been seen rocking polka dot dresses recently, bringing the classic motif into the current era. Kitten heel flip-flops, however, are definitely not timeless. Like the skinny capri pants Bieber wears here, the last time heeled thong sandals were popular was the mid-aughts. But now, they are one of the summer's hottest trends, even for office-wear. We've seen heeled flip-flops like Bieber's from mid-range brands like Madewell and Reformation, as well as from more luxury labels like Toteme. Hailey Bieber completed her trend-heavy ensemble with a simple black tank, a black mini bag, narrow black sunglasses, and a single gold watch. Naturally, Bieber's look also stayed true to the barely-there pedicure trend that she herself helped to start. The only way Bieber's ensemble could be any more of-the-moment is if she had a Labubu with her. Originally Appeared on Glamour
