‘Serious' crash closes London intersection

London crash causes life-threatening injuries

Around 10 p.m., police closed Highbury Avenue between Commissioners Road and Bradley Avenue for what was described as a 'serious motor vehicle collision.' Serious collision in Bayfield closes down section of highway
OPP cruiser in this undated file image. After a serious motor vehicle collision in Bayfield, police have closed down the intersection of Highway 21 and Cameron Street. The closure of Highway 21 is extended between Euphemia Street and Crystal Springs Road. Cameron Street is closed between Fry Street and Sarnia Street. Police are asking people to avoid the area and use alternate routes.

SIU investigates crash involving London police cruiser and city bus
The province's Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is investigating after three people were hurt in a motor vehicle collision involving a London police cruiser. Just before 2 p.m. Wednesday, an officer driving a police vehicle in the area of Queens Avenue and Talbot Street was involved in a collision with a city bus. The driver and two passengers in the bus sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision. One passenger sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. All three passengers were taken to hospital. The officer did not sustain any physical injuries.
