Everything We Know About ‘Only Murders In The Building' Season 5 So Far

Another one bit the dust at the end of Only Murders in the Building Season 4, and the show was renewed for a fifth season shortly after its fourth installment premiered on Hulu. At least one new face is already set to join the cast of Season 5 of the cozy murder mystery show, which will likely feature the return of fan favorite characters. Some characters have popped back up since Season 1, which means many are fair game. More from Deadline 'Only Murders In The Building' Renewed For Season 5 At Hulu 'Only Murders in the Building' New and Returning Cast for Season 4 Sterling K. Brown Teases "A Collision" Between The Outside World & The Bunker In Season 2 Of Hulu's 'Paradise' For everything we know about Only Murders in the Building Season 5, read on. When will Season 5 of Only Murders in the Building come out? Season 5 will arrive on Hulu Sept. 9 with three episodes premiering that day and the rest rolling out weekly. Has Only Murders in the Building Season 5 started production? Not yet, but executive producer Dan Fogelman told TheWrap that the aim is to start production on Season 5 in March. What will Only Murders in the Building Season 5 be about? Season 5 will investigate the death of Lester (Teddy Coluca), the Arconia doorman who was killed at the end of Season 4. Lester appeared in previous seasons of the murder mystery show in various capacities. The poor man was left dead in a fountain he had deemed lucky on his wedding day, which long ago took place in the Arconia courtyard like Oliver's (Martin Short) and Loretta's (Meryl Streep) does at the end of Season 4. The show will also explore the contrast between past New York and present New York, co-creator John Hoffman teased to Deadline. Who will return for Only Murders in the Building Season 5? The main trio — Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin), Oliver Putnam (Martin Short) and Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez) will return. Other recurring cast members who have appeared in the show since Season 1 include Michael Cyril Creighton as Howard, Jackie Hoffman as Uma and Da'Vine Joy Randolph as Detective Donna Williams. RELATED: Tea Leoni, who appeared briefly in the finale of Season 4, will likely play a bigger part in Season 5 as she approached the OG trio in the final episode of Season 4 to ask for their help in investigating the death or someone close to her. Leoni plays Sofia, wife of Nicky 'The Neck' Caccimelio. She reports her husband missing (he's tied to the Caputo crime family). 'I think she's the great tease at the end of the finale and a little bit of an intriguing bump forward,' Hoffman told Deadline. 'She's an extension of the little news report in Episode 9 that Mabel makes note of at the hospital. [Sofia] is the wife of the Dry Cleaning King of Brooklyn, and maybe a couple of dry cleaning outlets in Manhattan, as well, we may come to know.' Leoni could open up a world that hasn't been much explored yet in the dramedy series with the connection to her husband's reputation as the Dry Cleaning King of Brooklyn. RELATED: It's not likely that killer Marshall P. Pope (Jin Ha), aka Rex Bailey, will come back as it looks like he died. But as Ha told Deadline, there's always the chance of coming back in the tradition Paul Rudd. Will there be new cast and characters in Season 5 of Only Murders in the Building? Deadline exclusively reported Keegan Michael Key's casting in Only Murders in the Building Season 5. We also first reported the casting of one Renée Zellweger (the Bridget Jones films) in the fifth season of Hulu's cozy murder mystery comedy. Christoph Waltz will also appear. Percy Jackson films alum himself Logan Lerman, who recently starred in Hulu's We Were the Lucky Ones television show adaptation, will appear as teased on Instagram by Selena Gomez with a shot of him with the cast. RELATED: Jermaine Fowler will appear in a recurring role. Deadline exclusively reported the casting of Beanie Feldstein in Season 5. The Hunting Wives Season 1 Review – A proper guilty pleasure

Season 1 Episode Guide Episode 1 -| Review Score – 3/5 Episode 2 -| Review Score – 3.5/5 Episode 3 -| Review Score – 3.5/5 Episode 4 -| Review Score – 4/5 Episode 5 -| Review Score – 3.5/5 Episode 6 -| Review Score – 3.5/5 Episode 7 -| Review Score – 3.5/5 Episode 8 -| Review Score – 3.5/5 The Hunting Wives is the perfect definition of a guilty pleasure. It's an undeniably raunchy, trashy and outright sex-fuelled endeavour that feels designed to get eyeballs on it for the shock-value as much as the story itself. Beyond the first episode's very blatant titillation, when The Hunting Wives actually settles down and starts to showcase the story, there's an enticing and relatively interesting murder mystery at the heart of this that will keep you guessing right up until the shocking ending. Based on the novel sporting the same name, The Hunting Wives centers on newcomer Sophie O'Neil, who moves to the heart of East Texas with her husband Graham and their son Jack, determined to have a fresh start. Naturally, Sophie has some skeletons in her closet which threaten to come tumbling out as she becomes entangled within the charms of socialite Margo Banks. With her husband Jed looking set to jump into politics, and the small town still reeling after the disappearance of a girl six months back, Sophie finds herself on a collision course with chaos. From here, the show drinks a cocktail of obsession, seduction and murder. The story is given an injection of tension when a murder rocks the town, prompting police to launch an investigation into what may have happened. Adding more mystery to proceedings is a drunken night where Sophie wakes up with no knowledge of her whereabouts the night of the murder. The Hunting Wives leans into all the usual tropes of the genre, and it has a ton of suspicious characters with shady actions and motivations that will have you questioning who the killer is right up until the end. This show also doubles up as an erotic thriller and it's certainly not afraid to embrace this moniker with open arms. Expect everything from lesbian kissing to implied threesomes, all the way over to cheating and more. Honestly, The Hunting Wives does not hold back and while it isn't explicit in the way it showcases these sexual acts- at least outside of showing breasts or bare bottoms – it's also quite rare to see a show in 2025 be bold enough to go all-in in this way. Sophie is arguably one of the weaker personalities in this colourful ensemble, especially next to powerhouse Margo who does most of the heavy lifting in this series. The supporting characters around these two are an enticing bunch with their own subplots (mostly revolving around sex or sexual exploits). It's a bit of a car crash and its unashamedly bonkers, especially toward the last 2 or 3 episodes where The Hunting Wives decides to take the training wheels off and go completely bonkers with its story. These are some of the more crazy parts of the show but while entertaining, also display some pretty big plot contrivances and issues. None of this is helped by the cliffhanger ending, which baits for a second season. Honestly, it feels more like a desperate plea to the studios, especially as we actually get a definitive ending to the central mystery. Despite some of its more glaring flaws and some big plot contrivances toward the end, The Hunting Wives has an undeniably manic, sultry tone that'll keep you gripped until the final episodes. It's certainly not the best thriller of the year, nor is it going to win any awards, but it's a hell of a good time that isn't afraid to come out all guns blazing.

A Murderer Is Among Us in Square Enix's Killer Inn

Announced during this year's Summer Game Fest, Square Enix's next game is a little different from its RPG hits. Killer Inn is an upcoming murder mystery that pits 24 players against each other in a game of deception. I went hands-on with the title for a couple of hours before the launch of its closed beta, which is releasing Friday. Square Enix The game is very reminiscent of the breakout pandemic hit Among Us, with players performing mundane tasks as they try to avoid getting murdered. Two teams consisting of 18 Lambs (prey) and six Wolves (predators) will be set loose on the grounds of a large and labyrinthian mansion. The Wolves know the allegiance of everyone and their goal is to eliminate every Lamb before the timer runs out. Lambs are left clueless of who is friend or foe and must be cautious when encountering another player. The Lambs win by either eliminating all six Wolves or by escaping the island during the endgame phase (more on that later). But players won't be idly waiting to hunt or be hunted. The game's core loop involves all players receiving short quests from the in-game NPCs. These NPCs are usually merchants who also sell useful items such as health recovery, crowbars (to access certain rooms/boxes), weapons/armor, etc. The quests are pretty mundane and often require you to follow a glowing trail (like a waypoint in a driving game) until you come across a key. These keys can then be traded into various glowing chests around the map to unlock random items. Chests can either be random or specific to a certain type, such as assassin (traps), armor, weapon, etc. Square Enix A lot of these quests feel like busywork to power up your character so you have more of a fighting chance against attackers. At the same time, Wolves are also doing the same quests to get better weapons and traps to use against other players. It's still early for Killer Inn but I didn't find any of these quests to be particularly engaging. Apart from the odd match-these-shapes or a shooting mini game, the quests are extremely low stakes and uninteresting. This might also be because we played on the one map for the entire preview so I got pretty used to the same scenarios and obstacles. The game is early so hopefully Square Enix has more maps and challenges to come. Square Enix Killer Inn gets a lot better when you encounter another player. It features proximity voice chat so you're able to talk to your friend/foe when close to one another to try to find out their intentions. This is a great feature because it allows you to hold secret conversations away from others. Keep in mind, I was in a preview event where everyone was trying to have a good time, so people may have been engaging in better faith than your average online match. Voice chat with random public people on the internet can be a crapshoot so your mileage may vary. When a Wolf kills a Lamb, everyone gets a notification on their screen and a waypoint to locate the corpse. A corpse always leaves two clues to the killer's identity. In my preview it was often a piece of colored fabric or hair that corresponded to a few players each. Collecting enough of these will help you narrow down who might be a Wolf. If the Wolf is fast enough to mess with the corpse after a kill, they can remove one of the clues, letting the Lambs only find a single one. There are also single-use items in the game that can help each side hide or find more when searching a body. Square Enix To make things more interesting, the Lambs can't simply start killing random players, hoping they get lucky and eliminate a Wolf. If a Lamb kills another Lamb, the mistaken killer will also be eliminated from the game. This means you really need to collect clues and watch how players are reacting before taking your, sometimes literal, shot. When the game timer nears the end, the game switches into its end state where the Lambs must head to a huge ship to board and hopefully escape. There are six anchors locking the ship in place and they must slowly lift each one before winning. It's a slow process that really makes you sweat because it leaves you in quite a vulnerable position. This is the Wolves' last chance to win and luckily it puts a lot of the Lambs in one smaller area. However, it also means a lot of eyes will be watching. In my previews this is where the largest gun fights broke out because each team was making a last-ditch effort to win. In fact, most of the murders I came across were pretty standard stabbings or shootings. I'm sure in future games, when the players have more experience, I'll see a lot more stealth attacks and traps being laid for more intricate eliminations. There's a lot to learn from Killer Inn and it will definitely take a few rounds before you even begin to get a grasp of when to strike and when to blend in. Square Enix I found playing as a Lamb to be a lot easier. Having a larger team of players working together to discover the enemy allowed the pressure to be shared. As a Wolf, you're juggling a lot and trying to play both sides. In fact, during the three games I played, the Lambs won every time. I'm curious if this will remain as the game matures or will being a Wolf just require more experience with the game to succeed. Much like the board game Werewolf, classic card game Mafia, or Among Us, Killer Inn is best played with a group of people who are all in character and really leaning into the deceptive nature of the game. You have the option of turning voice chat off but you'd be missing out on the most interesting part of the game: the lying. Square Enix While the social guessing game is Killer Inn's greatest strength, its humdrum quests are its biggest weakness, and I came away from it a little skeptical of its long term replayability. I enjoyed my time but am unsure if I could see myself coming back for more of those boring quests. I would love to see more interesting challenges that force players into unique scenarios where staying hidden or breaking character means life or death. Killer Inn's closed beta goes live on Friday, July 25, on PC and currently has no final release date.

Nicola Peltz's latest career move is revealed amid her and Brooklyn Beckham's feud with his family

Nicola Peltz 's latest career move has been revealed amid her husband Brooklyn Beckham 's ongoing feud with his family. The actress, 30, is throwing herself into her work and has joined the cast of a brand new thriller, with Nicola confirming her involvement in an Instagram post. She will take on a starring role in Pretty Ugly, which has been created by Ted Lasso screenwriter Erica Dunton, according to Deadline. Nicola will star alongside Jazzy De Lisser and Mary Stuart Masterson in the drama, which will delve into the appeal of social media beauty. Set in Winnabow, North Carolina, Pretty Ugly follows a woman called Raelynn (Jazzy) as she becomes obsessed with the seductive world of social media. Her mother (Mary) also has her own fixation on grisly true crime podcasts and their relationship begins to unravel when a make-up influencer (Nicola) enters their lives. Things then take a sinister turn as a 'character-driven murder mystery' unfolds, which shows how 'the internet is changing the face' of America, writer Erica claimed. Also starring in the new project are the likes of Michelle Gomez, Andy Buckley, Cullen Moss, Paul Schneider, Edgar de Santiago and Angela Wong Carbon. Nicola's return to the screen comes after she made her directorial debut Lola last year, which was met by a mixed reception from critics and viewers alike. The heiress wrote, directed and starred in the film, which premiered on February 9, 2024, with a limited theatrical and digital release. She played the title character, a teenage girl who works to save up enough money to get her and her younger brother out of the toxic home they share with their mother. She faces a series of traumatic cliches, such as drug abuse, poverty, sex work and teenage pregnancy, but critics blasted the film. They argued it was 'a glorified commercial' for Nicola, and accused the movie of being 'poverty porn', meaning the exploitation of poverty for entertainment and artistic recognition. Nicola has also starred in other projects including Emma Roberts' 2020 festive flick Holidate, Welcome to Chippendales and Bates Motel. Nicola's latest career move comes amid her husband Brooklyn's ongoing feud with his parents and brothers over his relationship with her. Last week, it was revealed that Brooklyn and Nicola's Instagram accounts no longer follow his younger brothers Cruz, 20, and Romeo, 22, in the latest family drama. However, Brooklyn's friends told MailOnline on Friday that Cruz and Romeo have actually blocked them on the social media platform. This would make sense given Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola, 30, are still following his parents Victoria, 51, and David, 50. Cruz and Romeo were still following Brooklyn and Nicola earlier this week but appeared to take action after Brooklyn posted a birthday tribute to sister Harper, sharing a family photo without them in it - which Nicola reposted. There was much speculation whether Brooklyn would reach out to Harper on her 14th birthday on Thursday, but despite him doing so, it seems all is not well in the camp. Brooklyn's birthday tribute to Harper marked his first public interaction with his family since he paid tribute to his grandmother Sandra on June 26, despite remaining silent and shunning his father's 50th birthday earlier that same month. Sources close to the family have told MailOnline of their fears that Brooklyn and his wife Nicola have also distanced themselves from Harper after they failed to visit her when they flew into London in May to film an advert for French-Italian clothing brand Moncler just over a mile from the family home in Holland Park. David and Victoria had no idea whether Brooklyn, who Harper has idolised since she was a little girl, would message her privately or publicly on Instagram because they have no communication with him. The news that Cruz and Romeo had blocked their older brother followed Cruz's many pointed digs towards Brooklyn on social media last month. Amid the escalating feud, Romeo stepped in as he shared a very pointed statement about 'appreciating people that love you' and insisted 'life was too short' to not tell people you care about them. Brooklyn and Romeo have been living a somewhat fractious relationship over the last few months following claims Romeo's ex-girlfriend Kim Turnbull was the reason behind their rift. Kim addressed the speculation June 16 and insisted she has only ever had a friendship with the eldest Beckham son. Sharing a statement on her Instagram page, she said: 'I've avoided speaking on this topic to prevent adding fuel to the fire, however it's come to a point where I feel the need to address it so I can move on. 'I will not continue to receive harassment or be embarrassed on the basis of lies, to fit a certain narrative. 'I have never been romantically involved in ANY capacity at ANY point with the person in question. 'Nothing between us has occurred further than a school friendship at age 16. I would like to remove myself from the ongoing conversation & set the record straight for the sake of everyone involved.' Kim had been at the centre of the row after Nicola claimed that she felt uncomfortable around her, with sources close to the US heiress saying that Kim had dated Brooklyn when they were teenagers - which she then denied. Last month, Romeo and Kim then split after seven months together, with friends saying that the romance 'fizzled out' three weeks after David's 50th birthday. Following their split, friends said things remain 'amicable' between Romeo and Kim, and that their parting is 'nothing to do' with Kim being blamed by Nicola for being the catalyst for the feud that has ripped the Beckham family apart.

Big Brother 27 Premiere Reveals Identity of That Mysterious 17th Houseguest — But There's a Twist

Hotel Mystère — also known as the Big Brother house — is officially open for business! In Thursday's Season 27 premiere, host Julie Chen tees up this summer's murder mystery themed season, which comes with a brand-new house design (what's with all the keys?) and of course, a bajillion new twists. Inside the 'hotel,' mysteries lurk around every corner and nothing is quite as it seems (ooh la la!), as Julie teases us with mentions of a maniacal mastermind, a secret accomplice and a mystery houseguest. But more on that later. More from TVLine Poker Face Finale Introduces Charlie's Ultimate Nemesis in a Shocking Reveal - Plus, Grade It! Sheriff Country Exclusive: Morena Baccarin and Max Thieriot Fire Up First Looks at a Crossover and More Criminal Minds Boss Talks Finale's Chilling Tease, Reveals Season 19 Time Jump and 'Overdue' [Spoiler] Arc After officially meeting the 16 new houseguests (Adrian has his own wall comp in his backyard? Impressive!), a timer in the house slooowly counts down to zero. Julie calls the houseguests to the living room where she tells them they need to be observant little sleuths this season. As she reminds them to 'expect the unexpected,' the lights cut out and the creepy looking HOH relic magically disappears! Meet the Cast of Big Brother 27! View List When the lights return, Julie is gone and a red-masked baddie called the Mastermind says that without the HOH relic, the game can't continue. He tells them to prepare for a night of 'mystery and chaos' (yeah, yeah, we get it), as the phone rings. It's Julie! She tells them to divide into two search parties — one will search for the missing host and one will search for the disappearing relic. The two successful houseguests will earn game-changing powers. All of that campy madness sets us up for our very first comp, where players must figure out which door the host is hidden behind. Pick the wrong door though, and they're eliminated from the competition. After assembling a bridge puzzle and listening to some clues, Zach is the one to find Julie and he wins the game's first power! The second batch of players then play a comp to find the missing relic amid a sea of phonies. After scoping out some clues and conducting a thorough investigation, Jimmy finds the right relic and earns the second power. When we get back from break, Julie reveals the goods. One is actually a prize, and Zach is now $10,000 richer! As for Jimmy, only four houseguests will be playing the first Head of Household competition… and he gets to select who they are! He picks himself, Adrian, Ashley and Vince. In the first HOH comp, houseguest must balance 'cores' (weights) on arms called the 'BB Blaster.' Then, they must race to press down a plunger in order to destroy the mastermind's evil lair. After some careful balancing, the mustachioed Vince becomes the season's first HOH! But before this premiere comes to an end, the houseguests are in for a couple more major shockers. First, the AI Arena is back and it's now a permanent part of the BB game. (It's retitled the 'BB Blockbuster,' but it plays the same.) Before Julie can finish her last thought, the Mastermind returns to add something to the game… or better yet, someone: BB13 winner Rachel Reilly! But Rachel isn't technically the 17th houseguest. (Say what?!) The Mastermind says that one of them is his secret accomplice. If the house figures out who it is, that person will be immediately ejected from the game. But if he or she goes undetected, that player will officially become the 17th houseguest competing for the $750,000! Phew! That's a lot to take in, BB fans. So what did you think of the premiere?
