Justin Bieber Mounts Music Comeback With New Album ‘Swag'
Justin Bieber announced his upcoming seventh album on his Instagram account Thursday, which multiple outlets reported will be released Friday, a musical comeback for the singer after he has faced health issues and his personal life has garnered increased scrutiny on social media. Bieber hasn't released an album since 2021. (Photo by XNY/Star Max/GC Images) GC Images Bieber made multiple posts on Instagram on Thursday morning depicting his new album emblazoned across billboards in multiple cities, including in New York's Times Square. The billboards contain what appears to be a tracklist for the album, which looks to feature 20 songs including titles like 'All I Can Take,' 'Things You Do' and "Therapy Session.' The album is set to be released Friday, The Hollywood Reporter first reported, with featured artists on the album including Gunna, Sexyy Red and Cash Cobain. Bieber, who has been on a musical hiatus, traveled to Iceland in April to finish up the new album, The Hollywood Reporter previously reported, in addition to 'jam sessions' at his Los Angeles studio alongside longtime collaborator DJ Tay James. Bieber's new album will be his first since 'Justice' in 2021, after which health issues put a pause on his musical career. Bieber revealed in 2022 he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome type 2, which caused the singer temporary facial paralysis, leading him to cancel the bulk of a world tour that was scheduled to run through March 2023. Why Is Bieber's Personal Life Garnering Attention? Bieber, in recent months, has gone viral and concerned some fans over what they say is worrying behavior. He has made several cryptic Instagram posts that appear to reference mental health and anger issues. 'People keep telling me to heal. Don't you think if I could have fixed myself I would have already?' he said in one post in June, acknowledging he is 'broken' and has 'anger issues.' Bieber also posted screenshots of texts between himself and an unnamed person in which Bieber tells them his anger is a 'response to pain I have been thru' and 'asking a traumatized person not to be traumatized is simply mean.' He has also garnered attention for multiple public appearances, including one run-in with the paparazzi which was widely memed. While pleading with the paparazzi to leave him alone, Bieber said: 'It's not clocking to you that I'm standing on business, is it?' which some social media users poked fun at for seeming jumbled. Bieber, during the confrontation with paparazzi, said he feared they would 'take this video out of context and say Justin lost his mind.' Bieber also made a surprise appearance on stage with SZA in May to perform her song 'Snooze,' during which SZA cupped Bieber's chin as he kissed her palm in an interaction that concerned some fans, who felt Bieber looked dazed during the performance. At the Coachella music festival earlier this year, Bieber faced backlash after being filmed smoking marijuana next to his 15-year-old brother, which he later appeared to address on Instagram. 'They treat me like ass out here, but if I remember that I am flawed too and god forgave me, It helps me to stop feeling better than those people who are mean and hurtful,' also slamming internet 'gossip' and 'lies.' Bieber's album announcement coincides with the launch of SKYLRK, his new fashion line. The brand's website and Instagram account went live Thursday, through which the singer is selling sunglasses, hoodies, shoes and other products. Big Number $200 million. That's how much Bieber reportedly sold his music catalog for in 2023 to Hipgnosis, a music rights investment company. Lewis Capaldi: Therapy has been key to my musical comeback
Lewis Capaldi believes therapy has played a "massive part" in his musical comeback. The 28-year-old singer recently performed on the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury, two years after he was forced to end his set early amid his struggles with Tourette syndrome, and Lewis now admits that therapy has transformed his life. In a video chat with BetterHelp, the Someone You Loved hitmaker explained: "Therapy is the reason why I am able to be a musician again. I don't think I'll ever stop going to therapy after the impact it's had on my life over the past two years." Lewis has joined forces with BetterHelp, the online therapy platform, to provide 734,000 hours of free therapy to his fans. Sara Brooks, the chief growth officer of BetterHelp, said: "To have someone as globally recognised as Lewis Capaldi share so authentically how getting help through online therapy has transformed his life is incredibly powerful. We're grateful to have Lewis speak up and use his platform to help break down the stigma of therapy." In 2023, Lewis struggled through his performance at Glastonbury, as he dealt with the symptoms of Tourette syndrome. The award-winning star told the crowd at the time: "I recently took three weeks off just because I've been non-stop the past year and I wanted to take a wee break from my head for my mental health. "I wanted to come back and do Glastonbury because it's obviously so incredible so I just want to thank you all for coming out. I was scared but you've really made me feel at ease so thank you very much for that." Lewis subsequently announced that he planned to take a break from performing live. He explained: "I feel like I'll be taking another wee break over the next couple of weeks so you probably won't see much of me for the rest of the year maybe even. But when I do come back, when I do see you, I hope you're all still up for watching."

Babes Wodumo reflects on musical comeback and Mampintsha - ‘I miss his jokes'
She is a young mother and widow navigating life in the wake of her husband Mampintsha's tragic passing. Despite her circumstances, she is eagerly anticipating her musical comeback and aims to perform on stages throughout KwaZulu-Natal. Bongekile Simelane famously known as Babes Wodumo has been a household name in South Africa since her rise to fame in 2016 through her hit song 'Wololo,' the song's success propelled her into the limelight, and she soon became a fixture on South Africa's music scene, particularly the gqom genre. Her rise to fame was meteoric, thanks in part to her late husband, Mandla Maphumulo a.k.a Mampintsha, who played a pivotal role in shaping her career. Babes co-founded 'West Ink Records' alongside Mampintsha and they made hit songs that have since cemented her in the South African music industry. Babes then later started her own independent record label, 'Wena Wodumo Entertainment.' However, on December 24, 2022, Babes lost her husband Mampintsha, and in the aftermath of her loss, she found solace in her child, family and craft. 'I'd describe my head space as good because I'm occupied with work, so I'm grateful. And my favourite highlight of this season of my life was having one of my fans at a gig coming to me, telling me that she's also going through the same thing as me, she's also grieving her husband and after watching my show her mindset changed. For me that spoke volumes,' she said. Being a young mom is teaching her that one never stops learning. 'Motherhood is great in the sense that you don't know what you're doing but somehow you naturally do it. And now I'm teaching my baby manners and as he grows into this big boy who has internalised everything I've instilled in him, and puts into practice all the values and principles, I'm amazed. It has made me realise the true meaning of the Zulu saying 'Ufunda uze ufe empilweni,' (you learn till you die) because even I get to learn some things from him as his mother.' 'My son is very bubbly; he's always laughing and very direct, if he doesn't like something he has no filter, he'll tell it as is, and you have no choice but to learn from that. However, balancing work and parenthood isn't easy, but I try by all means to make it work, my family and my child are my biggest motivations, so I do it for them, which is why I don't take Sunday gigs as Sundays are for bonding with my family,' she added. She also revealed that there's projects she's currently busy with and that fans must stay tuned. 'There are collaborations currently underway, and this year in November I'm doing my big homecoming show in Lamontville then next year in May, I'll be doing my one woman show in Durban, so my fans should stay tuned for date announcements.' Babes shared fondest memories of her late husband, Mampintsha, how she keeps his memory alive and what she does to prioritise her self-care in challenging times. 'I miss his jokes, his voice and almost everything, I just miss it all. And I'm making sure his memory stays alive through our son, I make sure my son is as bubbly and as full of life as his father was, Mampintsha was full of jokes and always focused and that's what I've instilled in our boy. And whenever I stumble across challenges, I revert back to the bible for my soul as it's my self-care.' View this post on Instagram A post shared by Bongekile Simelane (@babes_wodumo)

Susan also has diabetes and was warned by doctors during the pandemic she had a high chance of catching coronavirus. At the time, she said: 'I've not been able to do too much. But that will change later, I'm always an optimist. 'I have diabetes so I have tried to stay indoors as much as possible. Catching Covid would not have been a good outcome.' Susan's fans were thrilled with the news she is returning to music and wrote on her post: 'Oh darling we your fans are thrilled and overjoyed.' 'Wonderful news, dear Susan, you are happy, we are happy. ❤️'... 'About time!! My withdrawals were getting too much!! Can't wait!!' It's been 16 years since she was catapulted to world stardom by the TV show Britain's Got Talent. The album named after her breakthrough song I Dreamed a Dream became the world's best-seller of 2009. Susan also made UK music history by having three successive albums debut at No 1 in less than two years. To date, she has sold 25 million records. She went on to achieve personal highlights such as singing for Pope Francis during the Vatican's Christmas concert in 2019. It took her three minutes and 40 seconds to get a standing ovation from the astonished judges, a moment captured on a YouTube video which has 100 million hits. Yet she only came second on the leading talent show. Recalling the period, she said: 'It was overnight because one minute I was watching it with my brother, and the next, there were these screaming kids at the door. 'I opened the door, and they were asking for my autograph. It was a bit of a whirlwind because you never think you're going to get anywhere, and then all of a sudden, bang!'
