BOYNTON BEACH — Three people were shot and wounded Saturday night at a city park, police said today.
Boynton Beach Police officers responded to Sara Sims Park just after 8 p.m. on July 5 to reports of a shooting. Three gunshot victims were found there, all with non-life-threatening injuries, spokeswoman Chelsea Sanabia said today.
Sara Sims Park is west of North Seacrest Boulevard in eastern Boynton Beach. It is bounded by Martin Luther King Boulevard, Northwest First Street, Northwest Ninth Court and Northwest Eighth Avenue.
Police did not disclose names, ages or genders of the shooting victims, the circumstances that led to the gunfire, or whether any suspects had been identified.
Sanabia said police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call the department's non-emergency line at 561-732-8116.
