Wilson says goodbye after five years at Newcastle
Callum Wilson has penned his goodbye to Newcastle fans as his departure from the club is 33-year-old striker scored 49 goals in 130 appearances, during an injury-hit five years on contract expired this summer."It's time to say goodbye after an unbelievable few years in the Toon," he wrote on X. "Thank you for everything. "We stood strong together through the highs and some lows to help the club experience new heights."I am so proud to have worn the iconic number nine shirt and to have added a little more history to it. Where would Mbeumo fit in Man Utd's attack?
BBC Radio Manchester's Gaz Drinkwater spoke to the Devils' Advocate podcast about the prospect of Bryan Mbeumo joining Manchester United: "The problem I have with Mbeumo is where he fits in this system because he plays in the same position as Amad Diallo, cutting inside from the right. Unless Amad gets shifted into the right wing back, which is a big possibility, where does he fit in?"My worry is we are signing Mbeumo because we want him to be the number nine - he is not that. I want us to bring him in, but we need [a different] number nine."I think [Viktor] Gyokeres would be my top option as the number nine. You're guaranteed goals.
