Garvagh: Arrest after man runs at police officers with machete
A man in his 30s has been arrested after an individual ran at police while wielding a machete in Garvagh, County were deployed following reports of a man with the weapon in the Bridge Street area at 19:00 BST on Sunday. The police said the suspect unsheathed the weapon and ran towards them before they disarmed and arrested him. The man was arrested on suspicion of having an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence. He remains in police custody on Monday morning.

Woman, 45, arrested in Hong Kong after brandishing knife at City University
A woman has been arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon after brandishing a knife while looking for her husband at City University of Hong Kong in Kowloon Tong. Advertisement Police said a security guard reported that the wife of a colleague was seen holding a knife on a campus bridge at around 9.53am on Tuesday. A spokesman for the force said the 45-year-old woman had first arrived at the bridge claiming that she could not find her husband. She left the campus and bought a 21cm-long (8.2 inches) ceramic knife from a supermarket before returning to the university to search for her husband. A 52-year-old security guard told the woman that her husband was not on campus. The woman then pointed the knife at the security guard, causing a 4cm 'red mark' on his chest, according to police. Advertisement The guard was sent to the Caritas Medical Centre in Sham Shui Po for treatment.

Two men charged after man slashed in street gang brawl in Shaw

A man has been charged following two incidents in Carlisle. The incidents occurred on Botchergate and at the Halston car park on Warwick Road on Wednesday, June 4. Chaotic moment street fight explodes in Islington before motorist runs over cyclist during the melee
This is the moment chaos broke out on the streets of London yesterday as a motorist appeared to run over a cyclist. In footage posted online, a man holding a baseball bat was seen crossing the road. He was spotted approaching another person in Islington, north London. However, the man with the baseball bat was charged at by another man in a balaclava and fell over, scrambling backwards as he was pursued. The second man was joined by a third. They continued chasing the man before running back over the road. The incident happened on Holloway Road, near to where Arsenal FC play their home matches, at the Emirates Stadium. Video of the scene later showed a car that appeared to have no rear window driving into a cyclist as members of the public watched on. A Met Police spokeswoman said: 'We were called at 11.37am on Saturday, May 24, to reports of a group of people fighting in Holloway Road, N19. 'Met officers responded and arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of being in possession of an offensive weapon. He remains in custody. 'There were no reports of any injuries.
