President Aoun returns from official visit to Algeria
President Joseph Aoun returned to Beirut's Rafic Hariri International Airport on Wednesday afternoon following a two-day official visit to Algeria. He was accompanied by Foreign Minister Youssef Rajji, Information Minister Paul Morcos, and an official delegation. During the visit, President Aoun held formal talks with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and several other Algerian officials.

Nepal PM Oli invited for September visit to India, PM Modi likely to visit Nepal in November
Kathmandu: Nepal's Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has received an invitation from India for a two-day official visit in September, sources confirmed to ANI. As per officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nepal, and another official from the Office of the Prime Minister, PM Oli has received an invitation for a visit to India from September 16. "This possibly will be the shortest visit of the Nepali Prime Minister to India. He has received the invitation for two days starting from September 16. Preparations for the visit have started upon receiving the invitation," the official from the Foreign Ministry told ANI. Nepali envoy to India, Shankar Prasad Sharma, in an interview with ANI on Saturday, also hinted at the visit, stating that Prime Minister Oli would travel to India "very soon," as both sides work toward finalising agreements in key areas. The ambassador's remarks came two days after Prime Minister Oli confirmed that a visit to India is on the cards. Speaking to ANI, Ambassador Sharma said that while no dates have been finalised, the visit is expected soon. "I think he will come to India very soon," he said. The Prime Minister's Office official, who spoke to ANI on condition of anonymity, also confirmed that preparations have started for his visit to India and are working on the agenda. "There won't be an announcement of new and big agendas. The visit will focus more on strengthening the Indo-Nepal relation and move forward with the ongoing projects in Nepal," the official told ANI. PM Oli, who assumed office in July last year for the fourth time, has yet to make an official visit to India. He chose China for his maiden foreign visit, breaking the traditional practice of visiting India first after taking office. In April, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met PM Oli on the sidelines of the BIMSTEC Summit in Bangkok. The two leaders reviewed bilateral ties and expressed satisfaction with the progress made in areas such as energy, connectivity, and people-to-people linkages. Another official from the MoFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Nepal, confirmed that the Indian side has also informed of the possibility of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Nepal in November. "It has been communicated that the Indian Prime Minister will visit Nepal in November. The Indian side hasn't communicated the dates, but they have given the probable month as November for the visit. Like before, his visit might focus on a tour to the religious sites of Nepal," the official told ANI.

President Sheikh Mohamed holds talks with Hungarian President Tamas Sulyok
President Sheikh Mohamed on Friday visited the Hungarian Parliament in Budapest as part of his official visit to the country. He was welcomed on arrival by Hungarian President Tamas Sulyok before attending an official reception ceremony at Kossuth Lajos Square, in front of the parliament building. The UAE leader's motorcade was escorted by a procession of horse riders, before national anthems of both countries were performed. Sheikh Mohamed inspected the guard of honour and was greeted by senior Hungarian ministers and officials. Sheikh Mohamed and Mr Sulyok then held talks at the Hungarian Parliament aimed at bolstering ties between the countries, with a focus on the economy, renewable energy, trade, investment, and culture. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening UAE-Hungary relations and exploring new opportunities for collaboration across a variety of sectors. Sheikh Mohamed wrote an entry in the VIP guestbook at the parliament, in which he expressed his pleasure at visiting Hungary and noted the significant progress made in furthering relations. The UAE leader and the Hungarian President also exchanged symbolic gifts reflecting the culture and rich heritage of their respective nations. Following the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed departed Budapest, concluding his official visit to Hungary. Sheikh Mohamed had on Thursday met Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Budapest on the first day of his trip. The two leaders discussed regional and global issues, including the need to support international efforts aimed at strengthening stability and peace around the world. They emphasised the importance of resolving crises and conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy, state news agency Wam reported. Sheikh Mohamed stressed the UAE's commitment to enhancing co-operation with Hungary to help advance development goals and promote further progress and prosperity for both countries. President of Hungary hosts welcome ceremony for UAE President
UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived today at the Hungarian Parliament Building in Budapest as part of his official visit to Hungary. His Highness was welcomed upon arrival by Hungarian President His Excellency Tamás Sulyok. An official reception ceremony was held for His Highness in Kossuth Lajos Square, in front of the Parliament Building, where the UAE President's motorcade was escorted by a procession of riders on horseback. Following performances of the national anthems of the UAE and Hungary, His Highness inspected the guard of honour and was greeted by senior Hungarian ministers and officials.
