German Shepherd ‘Greets Parents Like War Heroes' After Errands Like the Best Baby

German Shepherd 'Greets Parents Like War Heroes' After Errands Like the Best Baby originally appeared on Parade Pets. Leaving our pets is not an easy task. No one wants to leave them! If we could, I'm sure every pet parent in the world would take our pups with us everywhere. Unfortunately, that's just not possible, so there are times when they have to stay at home. Coming home to them is an amazing feeling, though. They greet us like we've been away for years, even if it's just been a couple of minutes! On Friday, July 11th, one German Shepherd took this hero's greeting to another level: McKenna Lopez has the babiest dog in the history of baby dogs. He may be full-grown, but he truly is the biggest baby around! This boy's name is not shared anywhere on his mom's TikTok, but there are plenty of videos about him. He's the sweetest: whenever he can, he accompanies his parents in adventures! They go on road trips, on walks, and out to other places. Unfortunately, there are just some places he's not allowed to visit. He's very well-behaved, but he's not legally a service dog. He's not allowed in most stores or restaurants, which means that errand day is a very sad day for him! That's okay. He makes up for it by taking up most of mom's bed every night: German Shepherds are a high-needs breed. They need a lot of exercise and attention to stay happy, otherwise they may develop issues like destructive tendencies or anxiety. If they're left alone for long periods every day, they may get bored. However, it's also important to train them on how to be alone. Dogs should be able to be alone for an hour or two, at least. Dogs with severe separation anxiety can be medicated or even put in daycare/boarding facilities to avoid being alone. Despite the fact that he greets them like they just got back from the war, this sweet boy does great at home alone! He just loves and misses his parents at the same time. He's perfect! 🐶🐾🐾 German Shepherd 'Greets Parents Like War Heroes' After Errands Like the Best Baby first appeared on Parade Pets on Jul 14, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade Pets on Jul 14, 2025, where it first appeared.

Shelter fights to keep dog brothers together after NYPD cop owner dies from cancer

A pair of dogs is seeking a new master after their owner — a former police officer in New York City and Greenville, South Carolina — died of cancer. Now, a local animal shelter is fighting to find them a home and to keep them together. The Greenville Humane Society said it's looking for a "hero" to adopt the doggy duo. 'These two sweet brothers have known nothing but love and loyalty,' the shelter wrote July 3 on Facebook. 'They were the constant companions of Officer William Bove — a devoted public servant who spent his life protecting others, serving both the NYPD and Greenville Police Department with courage and compassion. Officer Bove recently lost his battle with cancer.' The dogs — named Gus and Bruno — are already reeling from the loss of their owner so the shelter has decided the dogs must be adopted together. 'These boys are grieving,' the shelter wrote. 'They've lost their person, their home, and the life they knew. But their hearts remain full of love. Gentle, loyal, and ready to give it to a new family.' The dogs are each 3-years-old and are friendly with each other. The dogs comforted Bove during his illness and were his "faithful shadows" up until his death, according to the shelter. 'His family entrusted his precious fur babies to our care, and we are trying our best to find them a home that will adore them as much as Officer Bove did," the humane society wrote. Laura Dennis, Bove's girlfriend, commented on the Facebook post and said the dogs were friendly toward children and cats. 'Will was my boyfriend - and we miss him beyond words. [The dogs] are the SWEETEST dogs. He used to have a cat and they were fantastic with it. Amazingly gentle with kids. Well trained and cuddly. I am praying they find an amazing home," she wrote. As of Monday, July 7, the dogs are still listed on the shelter's website as being in need of adoption. More details about the dogs can be found at 'They are a bonded pair with the sweetest dispositions,' the shelter wrote. 'They are deeply family-oriented, and have so much love still to give. We're asking for a hero — someone willing to open their heart and home to these two incredible dogs. Officer Bove gave so much to his community. Let's honor his legacy by making sure his boys are safe, loved, and home again.'

Cockapoo Can't Contain Her Joy When Reuniting With Her College ‘Roommates'

Cockapoo Can't Contain Her Joy When Reuniting With Her College 'Roommates' originally appeared on PetHelpful. It's reunion time! No, we aren't talking about your typical college reunion, we're talking about one Cockapoo reuniting with her college besties. Seeing the group meet up for the first time in so long is so heartwarming! Dog mom Liat was so happy with the reaction her Cockapoo had to her old 'roommates.' The dog was so excited to see them! No matter how much time had passed, the dog didn't forget them one bit. There's nothing like being loved by a dog. It's simply the best. Just take a look at the way the Cockapoo carried on when she realized that all her besties were back. The gang was together once again! We can only imagine the ensuing gossip sesh that happened after the video ended. There was so much to catch up on!'When the dog you got in college reunites with her college roommates,' the video's text overlay reads. 'The band is back together,' Liat joked in the caption. Commenters were totally loving this little get together. There's nothing like getting a group of your girls together — absolutely nothing! 'She's like 'MOTHERS I HAVE SO MUCH TO CATCH YOU ALL UP ON,'' joked one person in the comments section. 'Stop, I'm gonna cry. All her girls are together again,' someone else added. 'So obviously y'all have to live together again now,' teased another commenter. 'I just know she was there holding a paw out through every heartbreak,' quipped one person. Deciding to get a dog can be a personal decision, but there are some important things to consider if you want to get a dog in college. First, consider how much time and financial resources you have. Dogs require time and attention, which you may not be able to give them if you're in school. There are some real positives, however. Dogs are a huge source of stress relief and can be a good way to get some exercise during your study breaks. Again, it's personal. But your pup could totally end up like this happy Cockapoo right here. Looking for more PetHelpful updates? Follow us on YouTube for more entertaining videos. Dachshund's Elation Over Seeing Mom After Day Care Is Full of the Purest Love

Dachshund's Elation Over Seeing Mom After Day Care Is Full of the Purest Love originally appeared on PetHelpful. Most dogs love to go to doggy day care, and it's a great way to get them socialization, especially if you work a lot or are away from home during the day. Cannoli is an adorable mini long-haired Dachshund that enjoys going, but what he likes even more is coming home to his mom. His mom shared a video on TikTok of the greeting she receives when Cannoli arrives home from day care. It's the cutest thing you'll see today! Make sure your sound is on so that you can hear Cannoli's little squeaks of happiness and love. This video literally made my day! I watched it a handful of times because you can see the pure joy on Cannoli's face and hear it in mom's voice, too! Not to mention he's a gorgeous little guy! Commenters also loved the sweet video. @Take a Little Tripp swooned, "Aww the little whines are so cute!!!" @RoxietheRoxStarDoxie shared, "Best feeling in the world. It never gets old."Even though I work from home, I still have to work and focus on my job, much to my dog's dismay. That's why sending her to doggy day care a couple of days a week is something we've been considering. Not only do dogs get to socialize with other dogs, but they also get to socialize with other humans too, which is just as important. If you have an active dog, they get to burn off energy that they usually have to keep bundled up until you get home. And by the time you get home, they might be too tired to do anything other than nap…if they even make it that far! Most towns and cities have at least a couple day cares to choose from; in our city, they seem to be everywhere! If you're not sure which one is right for your dog, they usually offer a time to have you and your pooch come in to check it out. Asking friends for a recommendation is a good idea; just make sure to do your research to make sure the ones you are looking at are reputable and have the services you're looking for. You can expect to pay on average around $40 a day. Speaking of services, some daycares even offer grooming and training services, which can give you more time to spend on the weekends doing something fun with your pooch instead of running errands! Video: ‘Lonely' Puppy Invites Owner To Spend Time With Him on the Sofa

If you thought only toddlers could throw silent tantrums, you clearly haven't met a clingy canine. For some pups, physical closeness isn't just preferred, it's mandatory. One Vizsla puppy has now become the poster pup for all needy dogs, thanks to a video that perfectly captures the drama of being left alone on a sofa. Otis, a young Vizsla, has won over Instagram users with his gentle and adorably 'dramatic' appeal for attention. In the video, Otis is seen sitting alone on the couch, giving his mom a long, almost heartbroken look. His body language makes it clear: he is not mad, just disappointed. 'Are you sitting on the couch all alone?' his owner asks while recording the moment. Otis responds with a series of soft, whiny coos, like he is trying to tell her exactly how he feels. The video also includes captions imagining what Otis might be thinking: 'I'm lonely, mom,' and 'Hurry up, woman, I need pets.' Otis's over-the-top pout had the internet in stitches. 'Sweetie puppy just needs some attention,' one person wrote, clearly sympathizing with the little guy's plea for affection. Another added some contrast with humor, saying, 'Meanwhile, my dog karate kicks me away when I try to cuddle.' One Vizsla owner chimed in, 'I love the CONSTANT cuddles as much as my Vizsla does.' This moment isn't surprising for anyone familiar with the breed. Often referred to as 'Velcro dogs,' Vizslas are known for their deeply affectionate nature and desire to stay physically close to their humans. They thrive on companionship and can become anxious or unsettled if left alone for too long. Originally bred as hunting dogs, their close working relationship with humans has translated into a constant need for contact in family life.
