Dwight Howard Grieves Dog's Death After 'Heartless' Alleged Hit-and-Run
Dwight Howard mourned his dog, Sunday, on social media after the pet was allegedly killed in a hit-and-run near Suwanee, Ga., on June 18. The former NBA star called Sunday his 'protector' and says she helped him 'through all the storms' in an emotional tribute. Howard also urged locals to share any information about the driver who allegedly fatally struck his dog and left the Howard is mourning his Belgian Malinois named Sunday, who he says died on Wednesday, June 18, in Suwanee, Ga., due to an alleged hit-and-run incident. The former NBA All-Star, 39, shared his raw emotions about Sunday's death in a heartfelt Instagram tribute on Thursday, June 27, calling the dog "my peace" and "my protector." In the post's touching caption, in which Howard remembered Sunday as a source of joy and warmth, the father of five added that Sunday had helped him "through all the storms" he had been through. Howard went on to recollect when he received the news of Sunday's death while he was in New York. According to the post, Sunday got loose from Howard's property and was allegedly hit by a car that continued driving, leaving the scene. "I'm devastated because you were the dog that never left my side, the dog that stuck to my hip at all times, and the one time you wander off without me being there, someone takes you away from me," wrote Howard. "Who could be so heartless to do this to such an innocent girl with no remorse?" Howard ended the caption with a final farewell to the dog, adding, "I'll carry your heart with mine forever," before including a call to action for Georgia locals to share any information regarding the alleged hit-and-run. A GOGGLEBOX star has revealed his family heartache after a devestating death rocked the clan. Tom Malone Jnr took to Instagram to share their sad news. 4 4 4 The former Goggleboxer confirmed the family's beloved dog, Bob, had passed away. Tom shared a series of snaps alongside Bob, including one of him as just a puppy. In another photography, Tom could be seen beaming as he sat proudly at the side of Bob. Confirming the sad death, he captioned the series of photos: "Good boy Bob….Rest easy big man." The Manchester based Malone clan have been fan favourites on the Channel 4 programme for over 10 years and are regularly accompanied by their dogs on the family sofa. One fan commented underneath the snap: "Sending the family love." Before someone else added: "There are no words my fiend, seeing so much love to you all, I'm so sorry xx." As a third added: "He's up there with dave." Dave was the Malone family's other pet pooch who usually sat with them as they tuned into that week's television. Dave passed away in October 2023.
