All lanes of I-95 northbound in Northeast Philadelphia closed due to police activity

A portion of Interstate 95 in Northeast Philadelphia is closed due to police activity. All the northbound lanes of I-95 between Bridge Street and Cottman Avenue were blocked by police Monday morning. Police officers are blocking the lanes with their cars and are walking on the interstate. Officers first showed up on the left shoulder just before 7 a.m. Monday. All northbound lanes shut down shortly after that. CBS News Philadelphia is working to confirm reports that police are looking for evidence related to a crime. If you are taking I-95 northbound near Cottman Avenue, your alternate routes are Frankford Avenue, RT-1, I-76, Aramingo Avenue, and Torresdale Avenue. This is a developing story. CHINO HILLS, Calif. - All northbound lanes of the 71 Freeway near Butterfield Ranch Road in Chino Hills are closed due to heavy police activity. What we know The California Highway Patrol issued a Sigalert around 2:30 p.m. The northbound lanes of the 71 at Euclid are closed. The north and southbound onramps at Euclid are also closed. CHP recommends all traffic exit and enter at Pine. Just before 5 p.m., the left lane reopened. Images from SkyFOX showed traffic heavily backed up for miles as over a dozen officers stood on the freeway with two tents set up nearby. While the northbound lanes were closed, traffic was also backed up on the southbound lanes with only one lane of traffic moving. What we don't know The subject of the police investigation is unknown. Denver's Union Station closed due to police activity

Emergency officials on Tuesday evening closed Denver's Union Station due to police activity. The notice went out on RTD's social media at 5:39 p.m. Union Station closed due to police activity. — RTD (@RideRTD) May 13, 2025 Service on several train lines has also been affected by the situation. No trains are departing from or arriving at Union Station. That includes the A Line, B Line, G Line and N Line. Shuttle buses are being called in to get passengers to their destinations. So far it's not clear what the police operation is.
