I Just Found Out Super Nintendo World Has A New 'Bomb' Popcorn Bucket, And I Can't Wait To Try And Take This Through TSA

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. The popcorn bucket industrial complex has been growing at an exponential rate. Once only the purview of theme parks, intricately-designed popcorn buckets are now found at every movie theater advertising your favorite blockbuster. Disney World is still the king of the popcorn bucket, though Universal Orlando Resort has created some great ones in recent years. This new Universal Studios bucket for Super Nintendo World may be one of the best, and also the most complicated to bring home. Universal Studios Japan just debuted a brand-new popcorn bucket for its Super Nintendo World. It's a 'Bob-omb,' the anthropomorphic explosive device from the Mario games that looks like the classic cartoon version of a bomb, that might raise a few eyebrows when trying to get it through airport security. I mean, I have no idea what airport security would think if they saw this go through an X-ray machine. It might only scan as a hollow piece of plastic, but if anybody gave it a serious look, I can imagine some security officials having questions. It doesn't look like a 'real' weapon, but certainly the TSA could still take issue with it based on how other people might perceive it if they saw it. If the TSA can take issue with "thermal detonator" Coke bottles, then a "bomb"-shaped popcorn bucket is absolutely fair game. As somebody who was mildly worried I might have an issue when I brought my Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge lightsaber through airport security, I honestly might get nervous trying to transport this. Of course, if I was too nervous, that might be when security would get concerned. This may be one of the best popcorn buckets ever devised. First off, it looks perfect as a 'real' version of the Bomb-omb, which was introduced in Super Mario Bros. 2. However, it's also functional, as it makes for a simple receptacle for popcorn, and is even round, which is going to make cleaning the thing a lot easier. The only problem with the Bob-omb bucket is that right now, it's only available at Universal Studios Japan. That park had the first Super Nintendo World, so it's not surprising that it debuted the bucket. That said, we now have two Super Nintendo Worlds in the U.S.: a small one at Universal Studios Hollywood and a much larger version at the brand-new Epic Universe park at Universal Orlando Resort. One imagines that if the popcorn bucket proves popular, the design will make its way stateside. Currently, the only popcorn bucket available at Super Nintendo World on either coast is themed to Mario Kart. While it looks cool, I would buy the Bob-omb bucket in a second, even if I were going to have some explaining to do to get it home.

Reed Richards Popcorn Bucket For THE FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS Has Fans Doing a Double Take — GeekTyrant

Marvel Studios is stretching into meme territory with its latest movie tie-in collectible. A new popcorn bucket for The Fantastic Four: First Steps has hit the internet, and it features none other than Pedro Pascal's Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic wrapped around the bucket. The container is gripped by Reed's outstretched, stretchy arm. It's a fun nod to his iconic powers and a rare bit of character-focused merch ahead of the movie's release. But of course, it didn't take long for the internet to... notice things. At just the right (or wrong?) angle, the elongated arm clinging to the bucket has prompted some spicy fan interpretations because, well, that's the internet. This is part of a growing line of First Steps tie-in buckets following the giant Galactus one. Thankfully, this Reed Richards version will only run you $39.99, not pocket change, but also not Galactus-sized debt. While the popcorn bucket is stirring conversation online, Pedro Pascal recently spoke to Empire about what drew him to the role of Marvel's most elastic intellectual. 'I see a limitless amount of layers to this character. He does the ultimate version of catastrophising. A brain that has an overview of threats on a mathematical level, but also being emotionally available. It was a fascinating contradiction.' The marketing machine is clearly warming up. Early tracking puts First Steps on pace for a $125 million to $155 million opening, which would be a much-needed win for the MCU. Whether audiences will stretch their arms (and wallets) for the film remains to be seen. In the meantime, check out the Reed Richards bucket and some hilariously suggestive fan-art by Boss Logic. Just... don't stare too long at that arm.

'That's Not His Arm': The Mr. Fantastic Popcorn Bucket is the New Dune Popcorn Bucket

'Are you the Mr. Fantastic Popcorn Bucket or are you just happy to see me?' We know that Fantastic Four: First Steps is going to be getting a big Galactus popcorn bucket, but there is also another bucket based on the main four members, and the reveal for the Mr. Fantastic popcorn bucket is getting the same reactions as the one from Dune not too long ago . Check this out: First look at a Reed Richards popcorn bucket for 'THE FANTASTIC FOUR' — DiscussingFilm (@DiscussingFilm) June 18, 2025 While the bucket is obviously showing off Mr. Fantastic's powers by having him stretch his arm around the bucket, the fact that his left arm isn't showing and the bucket seems to be directly connected to his crotch immediately prompted the rest of Twitter to make jokes about how Reed is actually using his 'third arm' to hold the bucket. Why does it look like…. Nevermind — CHRIS (@ChrisBlackadder) June 18, 2025 If anything, it does feel like Mr. Fantastic is a very tricky character to market nowadays since his powers always lead to someone somehow finding a way to make a joke about how he can stretch his penis. Remember when Reed Richards was released for Marvel Rivals earlier this year? Mr Fantastic — Siqintha Hedd (@Loudwindow) January 3, 2025 This isn't the edit, but you get the point. Well, the joke has been made multiple times, even in the official comics; so I guess anyone who is trying to market Mr. Fantastic should be well aware what to expect when you have a guy with stretchy powers. Good thing DC's Plastic Man isn't as popular because we wouldn't be hearing the end of it. Catch Fantastic Four: First Steps when it comes to cinemas on July 25.

JURASSIC WORLD REBIRTH Unleashes a Baby Raptor Popcorn Bucket — GeekTyrant

Regal theaters has revealed its movie tie-in collectible for Jurassic World Rebirth , the Incubator Dual Container, a popcorn bucket/drink holder combo that doubles as a baby raptor nursery. The Incubator Dual Container is designed to look like the same incubation tech used in the films to birth dinosaurs. And a little raptor stares you down right where your buttery popcorn goes. It's 100% on-brand for the franchise. In an era where collectible popcorn buckets have become events unto themselves like the internet-breaking Dune: Part Two sandworm tub, the Jurassic World Rebirth offering might be the most thematically appropriate of them all. It leans into the DNA of the franchise. Every time you go for a handful of popcorn, there's a genetically engineered predator just waiting. These types of collectibles are quickly becoming a strange new tradition for blockbuster season. This year alone, fans can get buckets for Lilo & Stitch , The Fantastic Four: First Steps , and Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning , which was designed by Tom Cruise himself. Tickets for the movie are now available for pre-order at select Regal locations, and if you're a longtime fan of the franchise—or just into collecting oddball movie merch, you might want to grab this one before it hatches and runs away. You can check out the teaser video for the popcorn bucket below.

You Can Now Eat Popcorn Out of a Moving, Talking Mickey Mouse at Disneyland

While Disney fans await the arrival of Walt Disney's high-tech robot this summer for Disneyland's 70th anniversary, an interactive Mickey Mouse that can blink and talk while you eat popcorn out of its head is now available for purchase. io9 was on hand to demo the latest in the popcorn bucket arms race, which started at Disney theme parks before becoming the hottest movie theater souvenir. While AMC Theaters' Dune sandworm popcorn bucket seemed like the peak of out-there and bonkers snack vehicles, Disney is back with a robo-upgrade. Check out the moving and blinking bucket you can dig into while engaging in fun conversation starters with a simple 'Hey Mickey?' Sure, it's pre-programmed with a handful of phrases but the real treat is the moving head and blinking eyes. It's astounding and a little creepy but in a cute way, at least. What's unhinged is that the interactive setting responds to your voice when you ask it the magic question—and it's definitely got some kinks to work out. I literally screamed at it and it ignored me, but could somehow hear its cast member friend. Maybe I needed to take my voice down an octave or two in my best Gaston impersonation to be perceived by robot Mickey Mouse. While we don't see movie theaters adding voice activations to their buckets, unless maybe they do it for M3GAN, this is a delightfully wacky addition to the popcorn bucket hall of fame. We can only imagine what popcorn buckets will do by the time Disneyland turns 80. Find your talking and moving Mickey Mouse popcorn bucket this summer at the Disneyland Resort.
