Colorado Capitol has new Trump portrait, after he railed over last one
A new presidential portrait sits in the Colorado Capitol, after one that had hung in the building for six years drew the ire of Donald Trump, who claimed that it 'purposefully distorted' his image. The original portrait was swiftly removed, and this week a noticeably sterner portrait appeared in its place — and the president appears much happier with the result.

New Trump portrait donated by White House hangs in Colorado Capitol after earlier one drew his ire
A presidential portrait with Donald Trump's approval now hangs in the Colorado Capitol after his complaints got a previous one of him taken down. The new portrait by Tempe, Arizona, artist Vanessa Horabuena is a sterner, crisper image than Sarah Boardman's painting of Trump that had hung since 2019. Last spring, Trump posted on social media that Boardman 'must have lost her talent as she got older' and 'purposely distorted' him, criticisms the Colorado Springs artist denied.

New presidential portrait revealed by White House depicts somber Trump
In the latest presidential portrait revealed Monday by the White House, President Donald Trump is wearing a red tie and blue suit against a black backdrop. He stares at the camera with a serious gaze, in a similar vein to his notable mug shot from two years ago. The White House website and Trump's official Facebook account updated the pages with the new portrait, hung in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building next to the West Wing. The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment on what prompted the change.
