Paul, under a chorus of boos, said: "I love that s***. I'm him. I just beat your boy's ass.
"He's a tough guy, he's never been stopped. He's a warrior. I respect him. But I came out on top.
"It was flawless, it was great. I think I only got hit 10 times. I embarrassed him - easy work.
for the umpteenth - but thankfully final time - Chavez Sr was left in disappointment as his son fell to his most shameful of all.

And not just because of the result, with Paul admittedly the bigger, fresh and improving boxer, but the manner of it.
Paul came out cautiously in the opening round, boxing off his jab and circling the ring.
But Chavez Jr appeared to come out with no plan at all, following Paul around the ring aimlessly.

For the first two rounds he barely threw a punch, as Paul fought off his jab and the occasional hopeful right hand.
A double jab followed by a right uppercut looked to have hurt Chavez - but the son of a legend hustled his way out of the situation.
As the pro-latino crowd began to vent their frustration with boos filling out the Honda Center - Chavez Jr finally came into life.
Rounds four and five showed glimpses of encouragement for the former world champion, catching Paul with a couple of looping right hands.

But it was not enough to win the rounds, with Paul far too active with his lead left hand, right to the body and overhand to the temple.
Round six proved Chavez Jr's best as he twice had Paul in a degree of trouble on the ropes with his signature left hook.
When the right hand followed, Paul responded with a combination of his own as the crowd jumped into life.
But the action predictably died down in round seven, as did Chavez Jr's faint hope of winning after returning to his role as adopted punch bag.

Paul was back in charge behind his jab, firing off the uppercut and left hook combination when Chavez Jr clumsily walked forward in round eight.
But in the ninth, Chavez Jr found a rare spurt of success, forcing Paul on the back foot with pressure, even lifting the former Disney Channel star's chin up with a thudding uppercut.

Paul had to overcome some adversity in the tenth and final round as Chavez Jr rolled the dice coming forward but it was too little too late.
With scores of 99-91, 97-93, 98-92, he took a one-sided unanimous decision and Chavez Jr was forced to concede defeat.
