Warning issued to tourists in Spain over common items worn on the streets
British holidaymakers heading to Spain this summer are being warned to double-check local dress codes before packing their suitcases or risk facing hefty fines. The UK Foreign Office has updated its travel guidance for Spain, alerting tourists visiting popular hotspots that walking around in swimwear away from the beach is not only frowned upon - it's illegal. A statement under the 'Dress Code' section on the website reads: 'In some parts of Spain, it's illegal to be in the street wearing only a bikini or swimming shorts. According to officials, being 'bare-chested' in public spaces - particularly on seafront promenades or on adjacent streets - can also result in fines. In a bid to maintain public decency and reduce disruptive behaviour in tourist-heavy areas, the rules have been enforced by local authorities as the summer holiday season kicks off. While these rules mostly apply to resort towns such as Barcelona, Palma and parts of the Canary Islands, travellers are urged to check specific local laws and regulations before they travel. On the flip side, tourists are also being cautioned about wearing face-covering veils or garments, such as burqa and niqab, inside official buildings. Though not banned in public spaces, local security protocols may require visitors to temporarily remove face coverings when entering town halls or other administrative areas. The Foreign Office has also issued a reminder on carrying proper identification in any event their identity needs validating. Police in Spain - including the Guardia Civil and local authorities - are legally entitled to detail individuals who fail to produce valid ID until their identity is confirmed. As reported by the Express, officials warn: 'Ignoring direct requests of a police officer can be considered as "disobedience," which is a criminal offence.' British nationals are advised to carry a passport or a clear photocopy while travelling around Spain. However, travellers are warned not to leave their passport at hotel, accommodation or car rental receptions when having their details checked by staff. Instead, they should wait for hotel staff to register information and photocopy the document, and take it with them immediately afterward. Using credit or debit cards may also require ID, especially for purchases of a higher value. Some retailers will accept a driving licence or passport copy, but others may insist on seeing the original passport. British nationals must also be aware of post-Brexit entry rules, which are still in effect. Travellers heading to Spain, which is part of the Schengen zone, must ensure their passport was issued within the last ten years and remains valid for at least three months beyond the date they plan to leave the Schengen area. It comes as tourists visiting a popular Mediterranean hotspot this summer are being strongly warned against discarding cigarette butts. This act can easily spark wildfires, especially during the hot and dry summer months. The Foreign Office is urging visitors to be extremely cautious while holidaying in Turkey to extinguish cigarettes properly, dispose of them responsibly, and be aware of fire risk areas. It comes as scorching heatwaves blighting Europe is causing major disruption as wildfires continue to devastate popular holiday resorts and ground flights.

The organisers of the eHati marriage motivation programme held last year in Shah Alam are being investigated under criminal laws covering obscene acts, modesty and public decency. PETALING JAYA : Police have arrested Diyana Tahir and Rahim Shukor, the founders of eHati International Sdn Bhd, and raided their home after they gave their statements at the police headquarters here today. Their lawyer M Reza Hassan said his clients were arrested under Sections 294 and 509 of the Penal Code and Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955 (Act 336). Sections 294 and 509 of the Penal Code pertain to obscene acts or words in public and insults to modesty respectively, while Section 14 of Act 336 pertains to insulting behaviour. Shah Alam police chief Iqbal Ibrahim also confirmed the arrests. Earlier today, Diyana and Rahim denied promoting obscene acts and insulting behaviour in their eHati marriage motivation programme held last year. They said eHati's programmes 'in no way neglect or sideline Islamic values, the sanctity of marriage or the roles of spouses and families', and were designed to help women cope with emotional and psychological challenges, without contradicting Islamic teachings. Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan yesterday said the police are investigating the programme under criminal laws covering obscene acts, modesty and public decency. The event held from Sept 27 to Sept 30 last year in Shah Alam, aimed at a Malay audience, had involved about 50 female participants. According to a Facebook user, the event's final day saw a female speaker in a bikini strip naked and dancing with members of her group. They allegedly encouraged participants to follow suit, and remove their clothes after giving them a 'mysterious' drink.

Videos on her social media show her shaking her hips snake like while pouting and thrusting her cleavage towards an appreciative audience in a Cairo venue. According to reports in Italy, prosecutors in the Egyptian capital say that in the clips she 'deliberately wore provocative clothing and performed dance moves with sexual allusions'. Some of the clips have been manipulated to present me in a bad light. 'I have all the licences and paperwork needed to perform in a professional capacity and the videos that are on my social media are all normal. 'It is a dance routine that does not cross any boundaries and does not offend public morality.' Linda moved to Italy in 2011 after marrying an Italian businessman called Domenico Martino, and they initially lived in the northern city of Cremona before moving to Switzerland. Woman who performed sex act in front of horrified children on school run assaulted police officer and defecated in cell
A WOMAN who performed a horrifying sex act in front of children has also been accused of assaulting a police officer and defecating in her cell. She was heavily intoxicated when she carried out her original crime with another woman, after coming back from an all-night bender. 3 Newcastle Magistrates' Court heard that Sarah Crawford carried out a sex act in full view of the public, at 8.45am on December 11. However, on June 18 this year, Crawford got in trouble with the law again for assaulting a police officer in Durham city centre. The court was told that the 40-year-old threw shop stock at police before threatening to 'raze every shop in Durham'. Crawford also kicked an officer in the knee, before she was eventually hauled to the police station. Once there, she 'defecated' in her cell in another horrifying act. According to the prosecution, it cost the police £64 to clean up after she defecated in her cell. Now, Crawford faces charges of outraging public decency, criminal damage, assaulting a police officer and a public order offence. Chike Anieto - the prosecution - said that Crawford's public sex act in December - with Rosalind Fitzgerald - had happened in the full view of children. He said: ' Children were present in the area. 'A witness says it was the other party and the defendant performing a sex act. Moment cop punched in FACE by rampaging yob as she tried to break up broad-daylight street fight "The defendant then proceeded to urinate. 'Following this incident police attended and arrested the defendant. 'There were extensive calls to police by other members of the public about what was going on in the area." Fitzgerald was handed a 12-month community order in May and a £120 fine for her involvement in the grim spectacle. Crawford's defence lawyers have said that she is 'embarrassed and sorry' for her actions and that her recent offences in June were part of a 'breakdown'. Andrew O'Hanlon, her defence, said that she 'needs help'. He said: 'She had previously taken an overdose and had taken some stimulants. 'Her behaviour in the police station is regrettable, she fully understands what she's done - she needs help." Crawford has said she will stop drinking alcohol, saying: "I no longer want that life anymore" She will be sentenced on July 29 and has been granted conditional bail in the meantime. 3
