Beth Mead scores penalty then misses after being forced to retake it under bizarre rule in Euros final disaster
LIONESSES star Beth Mead missed the penalty that she had to controversially retake in the Euros final.
After 120 minutes of action, nothing could separate England and Spain and spot-kicks would decide the final.
Mead stepped up first for the Lionesses and scored her penalty after slipping.
But as her standing foot gave way, she fired the ball onto her left foot.
Due to new rules, a retake was ordered by the referee.
Mead returned to the spot and had her second attempt saved by the Spanish goalkeeper.
