Police are looking for anyone who may have picked up riding gear left under a tree in Guelph.
The Guelph Police Service said, late last Thursday or early Friday, an equestrian bag and gear were stolen from a vehicle in the Exhibition Park area.
The thief later abandoned the gear about a block away, where it was found by a neighbour.
The neighbour picked up the items and placed them against a tree, but by the time the owner learned where their property was, the gear had disappeared, possibly taken by someone who thought the equipment was being given away.
The missing gear included a purple nylon bag with a diamond pattern, brown riding boots, a black helmet with a visor, gloves and rubber coated spurs.
