EXCLUSIVE Charli XCX's wedding ring value 'REVEALED': Brat singer continues to defy showbiz traditions with modest band after donning mini dress and shades to tie the knot with The 1975's George Daniel in low key ceremony
Charli XCX's wedding ring value has been revealed following her low key nuptials to The 1975's George Daniel at Hackney Town Hall on Saturday. The Brat singer, 32, defied showbiz tradition and enjoyed a small ceremony without the spectacle, where she donned a white mini dress and her trademark shades. And now it's been revealed that the couple seemingly carried the low key theme into the bride's wedding ring which has been valued at relatively modest £10K, despite the newlywed's reported £10M fortune. The band seemingly boasted a bold twisted, overlapping design and in platinum it perfectly matched her engagement ring, which is worth £15K. Laura Taylor from Lorel Diomands told MailOnline: 'Charli's wedding band is where she's really made it her own. Rather than going for a traditional band to sit next to the solitaire, or even an eternity band like we're seeing with other celebrities, she's chosen something much bolder'. 'It's chunky and very different to the delicate bands you usually see paired with solitaires. We are starting to see more celebrities choosing bold rings this year, like Dua Lipa and her chunky engagement ring. 'I'd estimate Charli's wedding band to be worth around £8,000 to £10,000, depending on the designer. 'The choice fits perfectly with the rest of her wedding look, as she wore a short white dress and sunglasses to her ceremony, skipping the usual formal bridal style. By pairing a classic engagement ring with a heavier, statement wedding band, Charli's showing you don't have to follow the usual rules. It's a really good example of how you can incorporate your own personal style.' On her big day Charli, whose real name is Charlotte Emma Aitchison, threw convention to the wind with a leggy white mini dress that she teamed with her trademark sunglasses. Charli and George, 35, put on a very saucy display as they posed for snaps with family and friends after saying I Do and smooched for all to see. 20 of the couple's nearest and dearest were in attendance including The 1975 bandmates Adam Hann and Ross MacDonald, however frontman Matty Healy was noticeably absent. Charli was the epitome of style in the chic dress which boasted a plunging boat neckline and draped detailing that she wore with a traditional veil. Slipping her feet into Jimmy Choo heels, the stunner styled her long raven tresses loose and carried a bouquet of white flowers. Meanwhile George wore a dark double breasted suit over a light open collared shirt with a flower, that matched his wife's bouquet, in his button hole. The newlyweds posed for sweet snaps with the songstress' proud parents Jon and Shameera Aitchison. Despite his absence Matty reportedly attended his pal's stag do earlier this week which took place in Ibiza. According to The Sun, the drummer and frontman Matty, 36, flew out to the party island on Tuesday for a short but wild getaway. Charli and George are also said to be planning a lavish wedding in Sicily later this year, after officially tying the knot in London. A source told the publication: 'George has been busy this summer, but his mates were determined to take him on a stag do. 'He flew to Ibiza for a couple of days for a raucous knees-up with his closest pals – including his bandmates – and party girl Charli was all for it.' MailOnline has contacted George and Matty's representatives for comment. The couple, who have been together since 2022, announced their engagement in November 2023. The Sun claimed the couple have spared no expense on the upcoming Sicilian celebration and have reportedly spent close to six figures. The source revealed: 'Charli and George fell in love with Sicily and knew they wanted to get married there. 'It's incredibly secluded and romantic. There will be no expense spared.; it's costing tens of thousands of pounds and visually it will be mesmerising.' It is believed that the duo wanted a 'massive party' with a bar that is open all night long.

Man Feels ‘Crushed' When Girlfriend Says the Engagement Ring He Proposed with Isn't ‘Impressive' Enough
After proposing, a man had misgivings about his new fiancée's reaction to the ring He said he picked a ring that "suited her style," though the woman seemed unhappy with his choice Redditors generally sided with the woman, noting that an engagement ring is meant to be worn for life — but that both partners should have an honest conversation to clear up any misunderstandingA man was proud of the ring he proposed with — but his new fiancée wasn't that impressed. In a post on Reddit's "Am I Overreacting" forum, a new fiancé shared his misgivings about his proposal to his longtime girlfriend — or rather her reaction to it. He had been planning to pop the question for months, and when the time finally came, the woman seemed more focused on the ring itself, he wrote. The couple had been together for three years prior, the man wrote, and recently he thought it was time to propose. He picked a ring he "thought she'd love," he said, which didn't have a huge stone, but he said it was "beautiful and suited her style." The ring itself cost around $6,000, and he only recently came into the funds to be able to afford it. "She said yes but the first thing she said when she saw the ring was 'oh... it's smaller than I expected,'" the man wrote. "Later she mentioned her friend's ring being bigger and said she thought I wouldve gone with something more 'impressive.'" The man tried to make light of it, but her comments stung, he said. It "crushed" him to think of that major moment in their relationship as tarnished by her disappointment. The whole thing feels "hollow" now, he added. Now, the man is wondering if her reaction is indicative of a larger issue: "If this is how she reacted to something that was supposed to be special and meaningful, what else will never be good enough?" Those in the comments, while justifying the man's emotional reaction, reinforced that just about everything about proposing should have been a conversation. Though the woman's comments and reaction may have been "tactless" based on the man's description, one commenter wrote, it's important to remember that an engagement ring is meant to be worn for the rest of her life. "Engagement rings are incredibly personal items, and she isn't out of line for wanting some input into how it looks and feels," the commenter wrote. Another noted that the man seemed to decide for her what "suited her style" — rather than discussing with her what she'd want. The user suggested the couple sit down together and have a conversation — about the man's hurt feelings and about the woman's ring preferences. That way, there's no misunderstanding. "Talk to the woman you love and find out what's actually wrong," they wrote. "If she's just superficial, it'll be clear quickly." Read the original article on People

Stunning medieval ring found below rubble at 'historically important' tourist site
Print Close By Andrea Margolis Published May 22, 2025 A remarkable centuries-old ring was unearthed recently beneath rubble at a historic castle in Eastern Europe. The impressive brass ring was found at Wawel Royal Castle in Krakow, Poland. The castle's website describes it as "the most historically and culturally important site in Poland." "For centuries the residence of kings and the symbol of Polish statehood, the castle is now one of the country's premier art museums," the website states. ANCIENT TOMB TIED TO ROMAN GLADIATOR DISCOVERED BY ARCHAEOLOGISTS "The collections of the Wawel Royal Castle are presented in several permanent exhibitions that evoke the historic appearance of the royal residence in the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries." The ring was excavated during the renovation of the Bastion of Władysław IV, a king who ruled Poland from 1632 to 1648. Historians estimate that the piece of jewelry dates back to the 15th or 16th centuries. A local archaeologist named Konrad Jurkowski found the ring, according to castle officials.
