Rams ink rookie TE Terrance Ferguson, finalize 2025 draft class
July 19 - The Los Angeles Rams officially signed tight end Terrance Ferguson to a four-year, $9.71 million rookie contract on Saturday, finalizing their 2025 draft class just ahead of training camp. Ferguson, the 46th overall pick out of Oregon, received approximately $8.05 million in guaranteed money, roughly 83 percent of the total deal, setting a new benchmark for his draft slot. The contract reflects a growing trend among second-round picks who are demanding and receiving more guaranteed money, following several top selections in the round securing fully guaranteed deals. Ferguson appeared in 53 games for the Oregon Ducks, recording 134 catches, 1,537 receiving yards, and 15 touchdowns over four seasons. The 2024 season was his best from a statistical standpoint, catching 43 passes for 591 yards with Dillon Gabriel under center for the Ducks. Now under contract, Ferguson is expected to integrate into the Rams' offense quickly. He will enter camp as the presumed No. 2 tight end behind veteran Tyler Higbee. Rams training camp will begin on July 23 at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Their preseason schedule begins Aug. 9 with a home game against the Dallas Cowboys. --Field Level Media

Details of Patriots rookie TreVeyon Henderson's rare contract revealed
The New England Patriots finally agreed to a deal with running back TreVeyon Henderson on Friday, a day before rookies were slated to arrive for training camp. But it isn't an ordinary contract for the second-round draft pick out of Ohio State University. According to KPRC 2's Aaron Wilson, the Patriots agreed to sign Henderson to a four-year, $11.143 million fully guaranteed contract, including a $4.74 million signing bonus. The writing was already on the wall once Miami Dolphins guard Jonah Savaiinaea and Chicago Bears wide receiver Luther Burden III were both signed to guaranteed deals. Savaiinaea was selected ahead of Henderson with the No. 37 pick, while Burden came after with the No. 39 pick. Henderson is a legitimate home run threat carrying the ball out of the offensive backfield. He was also viewed by many as the best pass-protecting back coming out of college. The pass-protection skills combined with his ability to also make plays as a receiver should earn him snaps right out of the gate. The Patriots' offense was void of elite playmakers last season, and Henderson jumps off the charts as a potential game-changer on offense. Follow Patriots Wire on Twitter and Facebook. Cleveland Browns Distancing From Quinshon Judkins After Arrest?
Nick Chubb was the Cleveland Browns' leading rusher each season from 2018 to 2022. Jerome Ford took over leading rushing duties last year, and after the Browns selected Quinshon Judkins in the second round, Cleveland didn't feel it was necessary to retain Chubb, so he signed with the Houston Texans. However, the circumstances surrounding Judkins have changed since the Browns made him the 36th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Namely, because the former Ohio State Buckeyes running back was arrested on July 12 and charged with domestic assault and battery. Interestingly enough, the Browns have yet to sign Judkins to his rookie contract, which means he won't be participating in training camp when rookies report on July 18. Which, according to Browns expert Mary Kay Cabot, the team is in 'no rush' to sign Judkins to his contract after his recent arrest. Moreso, the Browns have 'stressed' that Judkins makes his domestic incident the highest priority over football right now. 'But the Browns are taking their time investigating what transpired between Judkins, 21, and his then-girlfriend, before they turn their attention to getting him signed and on the football field. The woman told Fort Lauderdale police that he punched her in the mouth/chin area with a closed fist, and that she was still in pain with visible bruises five days later when she reported the incident.' Mary Kay Cabot on Quinshon Judkins Last year, Browns second-round pick Mike Hall Jr, also from Ohio State, was placed on paid leave after his domestic violence incident. Yet, his situation was different, since he had already signed his rookie contract with the Browns. In addition to Ford, the Browns also have rookie fourth-round selection Dylan Sampson, Pierre Strong, and Ahmani Marshall competing for snaps at running back. Though, depending on the status of Judkins, they may want to consider adding another rusher before camp opens. Related: Related Headlines Yankees To Trade for Jose Ramirez? Browns' Quinshon Judkins missing start of camp after arrest: Source
The Cleveland Browns' rookies and quarterbacks have reported for training camp, but rookie running back Quinshon Judkins remains away from the Browns, a team source said Friday. Judkins, who's yet to sign his rookie contract, was arrested in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on July 12 on charges of battery and domestic violence. He allegedly struck a woman with a closed fist on July 7, and the bruising was still visible to police when the woman reported the incident five days later, the police report said. Advertisement The Browns have had six of their seven draft picks signed since June. With the NFL continuing to investigate the incident and Judkins preparing his defense, the team is in no rush to finalize Judkins' contract or have him participate in football activities. The Browns' full-squad report date is July 22, with the first full training camp practice set for July 23. Judkins was released from jail on a $2,500 bond on July 13, and earlier this week, he canceled a public meet-and-greet and a youth football camp he was scheduled to host in Cleveland. It's not yet known if the team will add another running back to its 90-man offseason roster, though the Browns figure to make a series of moves and designations in the coming days ahead of the start of full camp. Judkins worked with the No. 1 and No. 2 offenses at various times during the spring. Cleveland drafted Judkins at No. 36 in April with the belief that he would fit its wide-zone run scheme and be a significant contributor during his rookie season. The NFL and the Browns have said little about Judkins' situation or playing status other than confirming that the league continues to investigate. Jerome Ford opens camp as Cleveland's No. 1 running back. Ford, who's in the final year of his rookie contract, took a pay cut this spring to essentially guarantee his roster spot. The other veteran in the running back room is Pierre Strong Jr., who's also only signed through 2025 and has mostly been a special teams player. Cleveland selected a second running back, Dylan Sampson, in the fourth round in April. The team also signed rookie Ahmani Marshall after the draft. In other Browns-related legal news, linebacker Devin Bush had his formal arraignment Friday in Pennsylvania on charges of simple assault and harassment stemming from a May incident involving Bush and his girlfriend. A pre-trial hearing for Bush has been set for August 15. Advertisement Bush, who signed a new one-year deal with Cleveland in March after starting 10 games last season, continued to participate in the team's offseason program after his arrest. Last August, Browns defensive tackle and 2024 second-round pick Mike Hall Jr. was arrested on a domestic violence charge. Hall practiced the next day and continued to participate in team activities until the end of the preseason, when he was placed on the commissioner's exempt list. Hall pleaded no contest to his charges last September and ultimately received a five-game NFL suspension that included time he'd already missed.

Jets agree to terms with second-round pick Mason Taylor
The Jets have gotten a deal done with their second-round pick. Per Cameron Wolfe of NFL Media, New York and Mason Taylor have agreed to terms on the tight end's four-year rookie contract. Taylor was the No. 42 overall pick in this year's draft. Wolfe notes that of the $10.46 million in Taylor's contract, 91.3 percent of it ($9.56 million) was guaranteed. Taylor also received 60 percent of his Year 4 salary guaranteed, which is a 55 percent increase from the No. 42 pick in 2024. Taylor, 21, played his college ball at LSU. He is the son of Hall of Fame defensive end Jason Taylor.
